Trying to say it wouldnt be hard to eliminate small pox ridden fleas dropped all over the US is hilarious of you

It wouldn't have been 100%, no. But between public works such as pesticide sprayings, etc. and the ability to rapidly treat cases that did pop up, we would have been fine. Not to mention that the majority of US citizens had been vaccinated, so transmission was dodgy in the first place.
