Every class has a panic super. Nova bomb tether and fist of havoc. They all do it at times. Plus it may seem like a panic but to them they knew were you where and planned it out.

As a Titan, fist of havoc is just straight up a panic reflex sometimes. It's an offensive super that can be used defensively to survive killing blows. That's dumb to me. Warlocks get killed by their own nova bomb. Titans and hunters do not die from their panic supers.

See for situations like that I'd prefer to use blood bound but it's hard to get the team to stick together after the tether goes off.
