I think it would be fun to incorporate the 30/30s idea as more of a scheduled activity, once or twice a month. Right now with the way that rep levels can help to increase character light levels, I think this could be a good and fun way to hit all categories of rep, Gunsmith, Crucible, Vanguard, Faction, Queen, Variks. The principle is 30min patrol, farming Vanguard rep, then 30 min of PvP. Rinse and repeat, load up on bounties, farm materials etc, complete Gunsmith test weapons and do it over and over.
