WarDOG Spotlight - Spring

I had intended this to be a feature of the newsletter, but due to the length requirements on the website it wouldn't fit... WarDog Spotlight Today we'll be spotlighting three of your fellow Zdogs. I'll keep it simple and let them tell you about themselves... First up is one of our Sherpas, and our resident weapons expert, EvergreenAxe 1. Tell us a bit about yourself? You can call me AXE. I live in Reno, Nevada. I am a husband, and father of 2 boys (both under 5 years old). I am a Forester by trade, having worked much of my career with the US Forest Service in Timber/ Logging as well as Fire. Now I’m in utility forestry with a power company. Beyond that my hobbies include playing music. I was in a band during my college years and can play multiple instruments as well as singing and songwriting (though with family I don’t delve into all that much at all anymore). 2. What do you like best about being a Sherpa? I wouldn’t be where I’m at in Destiny, or even be a Sherpa, without the support of everyone else who had the patience and time to run with me and get me to where I’m at. I could list so many people who helped me in my development, but they should know who they are. You may guess who they are by the banter between us in the LINE chatrooms. Being a Sherpa I think, is not about you being better at the game than everyone else, it’s about adhering to and modeling the clan rules while having fun in the game. It’s a balance between leadership versus serving and supporting the group, and a willingness to sacrifice your own development for the benefit and development of others. I believe Vets create Vets, and at a certain point in time each of us has, and should take the opportunity to assist others in their development. It’s not WHAT you do, it’s HOW you do it. I get a kick out of taking someone through the raid the 1st time. I feel fortunate to have witnessed a lot of 1st time Oryx kills, as well as Hard Challenge completions. 3. What time zone are you in and how can players connect with you? I am in the US Pacific time zone (PST). Players can connect with me either through the Bungie/ Destiny app or through the LINE app (I am on the Xbox One AND the Xbox 360, I play both). Anyone is free to send me an individual/personal message and/or add me to their friends list. Gamer Tag is EvergreenAxe467. Now I'd like to introduce you to BahaReaper: Tell us a bit about yourself? I'm 30 years old, married 3 years, 2 year old son named Kalani. I'm a medical laboratory technician employed at a local hospital in the Bahamas where I was born and raised. I'm really laid back and always relaxed. What do you like most about being a Wardog? I like being a Wardog because I get along with everyone I've come across so far and everyone is pretty much the type of ppl I hang out with I've learned a lot from the other dogs. I feel like a part of the family. What time zone are you in, when are you usually online, and how can folks connect with you? I'm in the EST timezone I can be reached on the line app, or the destiny companion app or in game I usually play on days off or on days I work the late shift. And finally, let me introduce Raveun2me: Tell us a bit about yourself? Hmmm....A story about myself.....I live in the STATE of Hockey. I'm 53 (I know, I've heard it all before) and I'm in the Radio business....for 34 years :-) My wife passed away on Aug 4th 2013. I miss her dearly. On a happy note. She's the one that got me into gaming. She bought me my first Xbox. I was on PS. My first xbox game was Halo 3 What do you like most about being a Wardog? What I like most about being a Wardog? The people in our clan are AWESOME. We have such a great time. Without them, I would never be able to complete my Iron Banner bounties. It was Wardogs members that took me through my first trip into Kings Fall Raid What time zone are you in, when are you usually online, and how can folks connect with you? Time Zone? Central...I'm usually on every night from 5-11p. Except on Thursday nights when a NEW episode of Vikings is on the History channel. Just send me a message if you wanna play Destiny :-) Happy Hunting. Thanks guys for being part of the spotlight.... Now everyone get out there and remember to shoot straight, and have fun... Sage
