The Witcher 3 looked boring as hell, I liked Fallout 4 better

Might of looked boring but witcher 3 was actually very good! Can't comment on fo4 as not played the series:)

I'm just not big on fantasy stuff, magic and swords just doesn't interest me too much

That's fair enough! :) I prefer sci fi to fantasy aswell but I am just as happy hacking away with swords & spells as I am blasting away with guns & tech ;) I'm mostly there for the story anyway ;)

Is the story pretty good? I almost got the Witcher when it was on sale but I ended up buying Bloodborne instead

Rofl I did the same in opposite order! I got witcher on sale then got bloodborne on sale 2 ;) yes witcher has a good story & is different depending on choices made during playthrough :) makes it quite replayable! Loving bloodborne too but that's very hard & to keep track of the story isn't much easier;)
