Easy to use? Yes.
Easy to use effectively? No.
As for your scenario, a nova bomb could have done the same thing without him having to enter the room. If you get killed by FoH because you're camping the same room too long, that's on you.

I know the room. There were too many obstacles for a Nova Bomb to have worked effectively. I've dodged many a Bomb, but I've been killed by FoH when I was 20 ft up or behind pillars. It knows no bounds. The claim that Bomb is a ranged FoH is wildly misleading.
