It still tallies up to +5. A buddy suggested that creating a character of a different gender (I.e. both male and female characters) awards 5 additional grimoire points. That's the only logical explanation as I had created a male Titan once who reached the tower. Had a change of mind later, though, and deleted him in favor of a female one. Else I can't explain the additional 5 grimoire points either.
