Takes about an hour a week for 3-4 weeks from memory. If you think that's a grind never try getting all 3 exotic swords. Ever.

I got all three exotic swords. I just hate using the gunsmith guns.

Just do the non crucible ones. It's bloody easy and there's a couple of decent exotics there.
