Tuning is necessary. Just think if they had used your logic last July and we had been stuck with the ridiculous Thorn/TLW/Shotgun meta forever......or at launch when Vex Mythoclast killed in 3 shots and had a 66 round mag......

  • Additionally, every single weapon they release from now on will get nerfed at some point. It's inevitable. They can only do some much play testing. Once those weapons get released into the wild, we find out how to exploit them, causing them to get nerfed back into the ground just like all the others, making them only average then. I don't consider those special weapons then.

  • Yeah, and I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. Most of the exotics were overpowered in their own way before they all got nerfed. The way I see it, if they were all just a little bit overpowered, that makes them ALL good choices to go into the crucible with. Then the fight comes down to class, perks, and individual skill. Every guardian would be a badass. I hated Thorn and TLW. Never liked them. But I'd take Hawkmoon, Hardlight, Mida into battle and wreck shop against those thorn users. Therefore I'm a badass with certain OP guns while you are Badass with your weapon set. And I sure wouldn't cry nerf either.
