Sniper ammo and Heavy Machine Gun ammo have been reduced to increase the play time required to complete activities. Bungie is pulling out all the stops to keep players playing their game. You will no longer move through activities at the same pace. This isn't the 1st time Bungie has done this either. Bungie changed Black Hammer, IceBreaker, and Gjallahorn back in year 1 for exactly the same reason. Not enough content so Bungie wants what little content there is to take as long as absolutely possible to complete.

  • The constant lag in raids extends the gameplay longer than it should be. It honestly already feels like a chore having to coordinate with a bunch of people to raid. 1) it's time consuming, not only to have to find your own group, but maintain the number of players you have. 2) you inevitably get bad players and/or basement WiFi Kings from across the globe. 3) the challenge is not beating the raid, it's finding and keeping the players to do it. That's what makes it a chore. What pisses me off about these changes the most, is Bungie is not even addressing the issues I mentioned (latency and no matchmaking). If they were solving these problems, and adjusting ammo, I wouldn't be mad about it at all.

  • The one positive I can think of for a rehash of POE is that you only need 3 as opposed to 6 players.

  • Apparently you didn't watch the stream where they stated that heavy ammo would drop more often in pve to offset the drop in ammo in your backpack.

  • Bungie has said they are reducing the grind ever since vanilla lol. TTK was supposed to have less grind. If you believe Bungie will lessen the grind this time be prepared for disappointment. This update needs to last until fall. That is 5/6 months worth of grind.

  • I rarely even snipe, but even I can't deny that they immediately try and target weapons that make PvE content quick and easy

  • No, these changes are pvp based with pve tweaks to not ruin the weapons. Gally was the only thing that ran house in pve and it did so for a long time.

  • When the same weapons are used in both PVP and PVE mainly snipers which is what this post addressed my statement about lengthening the activity based on the change is true.

  • Gally pretty much had an 11-12 month reign as an OP PvE weapon. Although the nerf sucked, thankfully it was a week before TTK and it wasn't going forward anyway. Still though, that was a year of PvE destruction, lol. Glad I experienced it.

  • I just don't like being forced to use any weapon, especially an exotic which prevents me from using all other exotics and especially for heavy slot. Which is why they changed it.
