Actually, we're talking about the damage phase of each boss. Someone decent with 'spindle can pop off 23 shots in one damage phase. The amount of DPS is amazing. You can't leave the aura in the middle of a damage phase to pick up ammo-- if you did, you would have very low DPS on the boss, and would not be contributing very much.
