Doubt it. Bungie's stance has always been to implement, see how it turns out, and then fix it.
Only in Y2, those changes come MONTHS AND MONTHS later, not in a few weeks. If they implement this going forward, we will likely be stuck with it until the next DLC comes out.

Too right. Remember when Bungie rekt exotics? It was 3 months before there was another exotic weapons patch. Thats ONE AND A HALF DLC's.

One can only hope? In the past they have always been the top dog in this gaming genre, but with Division now out, they may need to change how they've done things in the past. Heck, do you think they would have announced and planned the update if it weren't for Division?

You are by far a greater optimist than I. I don't think Bungie is willing to divert significant resources to make TTK content more accessible and fun for players at this point. Their main focus is on the upcoming paid-for DLC supposedly due sometime at the end of this year and the launch of D2 sometime in 2017.

You're probably right, but this update was clearly a response to division, and not because people were asking for new content. So they are sensitive to how outside sources influences their current game. Just praying someone finds the light switch in time.
