Not to mention the most common sniper in PvE that's not the Spindle is the 1kYS. Personally, I have 1 with Perfect Balance/Tacsys and Shortgaze/Triple Tap/Firefly. It is in the middle of the road as far as sniper ammo goes, so it will probably lose 6 bullets due to sniper nerf, bringing it down to 12 without any special ammo perks. But 1kYS is also getting it's own ammo nerf, by a "couple of bullets". So what used to have 18 base, 25 max, will now have 10 or less base, and 17 or less max. Seriously? 10 bullets????? Do they even play test these things outside of their precious PvP world? I dunno bout you guys, but I'm gonna need a new PvE sniper. Hoping on a Longbow (cuz it has 5 bullets per mag. With Triple tap, I can shoot up to 7 b4 reloading) with field scout, firefly, triple tap, and Tacsys. Edit: now that I'm thinking about it, a single special brick in either pvp or pve gives about 20% of your total ammo capacity. So, in PvP, you pick up a special brick with 1kYS, u only get 2 bullets now. Same with PvE. So basically, instead of nerfing 1kYS so it wasn't the only option, but still viable, they utterly destroyed it. All because of Crucible cry babies. Smh. #TitanMasterRace

  • In case you didn't know they also increased the amount of special ammo drops from PvE enemies. I agree it's a hard hit but at least they're trying to balance it out more. But to be honest, it's not that big of a hit because you can pick up more ammo. This could even be a good change, but we will all have to see how this plays out.

    Picking up ammo doesn't counter the reduction in sustained dmg That's the thing. If they'd increased the dmg for snipers and shotguns (and maybe a slight dmg buff for fusions and Sidearms), that would have sufficed. Less ammo won't matter if you still do the same dmg.

  • I just wonder if longbow will still hold 5, because keep in mind it went away before the first big "rebalancing" that took ammo count down in so many things, not to mention killed Field Scout.

  • I'm hoping it keeps 5. For field scout, they made it so it doesn't increase mag size. Which does suck, to be sure. But it's not destroyed. I'm hoping that with Field Scout, Special Ammo on my Garrison, and Sniper ammo on my boots, I can possibly get 23 or even the former max of 25 total shots. #TitanMasterRace

  • Let's hope. I just remember the glory days through the entirely of Y1, I used my Van[u][/u]illa FWC hand cannon and it held 13 rounds. It practically never left my primary slot until TTK hit, now it only sees the occasional Crucible match or low level mission/patrol :( I think around 45,000 of my HC kills came from that gun alone.

  • It was base 6, Field Scout 13. Now it's 6 flat. it's still my favorite hand cannon, followed closely by Her Mercy (which looks the same and has identical stats)
