Couldn't have said it better myself. It's actually funny how most of those self proclaimed "sniper beasts" aren't even skilled enough to get headshots. Rather, they just body shot once and immediately switch to a primary to kill you with one bullet. When they say aim assist on snipers is not a problem, they're just trying to dissuade bungie from nerfing their best snipers (aka shadow of veils and 1000 yard) with the highest aim assist. Heck, their AA is so high that it would make more sense to give them a perk called "head-seeker" and find a different name for the actual head-seeker perk used on pulse rifles. I've even seen top tier players switch to these snipers when they're mad due to losing badly. The true sniping skill died in TTK. Before that, people only ran mid to low AA snipers such as Her Benevolence, LDR, Longbow, praedyth's revenge, etc. and the game was way more balanced in terms of sniping.
