Sniping in Destiny doesn't take a crazy amount of skill. It's all reliant on aim-assist, it's really doing most of the work. I don't understand why people think they're godly with sniping.
Kids have it easy these days. Go try out Counter Strike and give sniping a try, see the difference aim-assist does then come back here.

And if I used a mouse and Keyboard, then no aim assist would be fine. However, aim assist is needed to make up for the fact that a joystick isn't a precise as a mouse - and no, aim assist doesn't do everything for a sniper.

Being able to use your whole hand(pc) is easier than using just your thumb(consoles).

Amen.

Exactly, he's a dumbass.

Bf4 broke me as a sniper, physics are my worst enemy

Edited by ItsYourLandlord: 4/2/2016 4:17:28 PMWell, aim assist is something that consoles have due to lack of precision with the controllers. So, comparing a mouse to a console controller is completely different. Before you get all douchey on me, yes I have played CS:GO and I snipe very well in that game. It's not all aim assist here in destiny. Sure, it plays a part, But not a huge one like everyone thinks.

I would argue destiny has higher aim assist than any other console shooter. Thousand yard stare and sticky grenades being a prime example.

That's the part that everyone gets wrong! You all think 1k is the highest aim assist gun in the game. No one complained about longbow or LDR back in the day. They literally are the same guns.

There's clearly a reason it's all over trials. There's clearly a reason everyone snipes in trials. And they did complain about those snipers back in the day but they focused on the op perks that eventually got nerfed. Defend snipers all you like it's still a boring as -blam!- way to play a shooter.
