Crap connections vs my Expensive connection

So new plan. I'm now leaving any match that has 3 or more bad connections; regardles of what team they are on. I am by no means an elite gamer. I can averageb OK but I find one out of every 2-3 matches are way to laggy. Some matches start of with everyone having green bars. Then when I check mid game; multiple players have red bars. Don't get why a player with a bad connection connection gets favored.

The lag is there because of the way they do their matchmaking. You're likely getting matched with people literally thousands of miles away and that will never provide a consistently good experience on a peer to peer network. I know in my case being in central BC Canada Bungie's matchmaking system is constantly trying to put me in with people as far away as South America. That's insane to me. I solved the problem by getting the Netduma R1 router and I use its geo-filter to prevent that crap from happening. Now the game play is great, I never play with anyone that's further away than 1200 miles (the limit I set). It's not perfect, every once in a while someone with a bad connection still gets in the game because they fit inside my filter range, but that's really rare. Overall, I can't believe how much better it is, I haven't yelled at my TV in weeks lol... knowing now how good it can be I can't believe I even played the game before.
