The Disgraced II
Felix walked briskly through the corridor, Roman and Greek architecture making up the walls and ceiling. Gorgoyles sat on top of black marble columns, tongues and eyes rolling as if they had been damned to laugh at him.
He shivered nervously in his uniform, which was a dark red kevlar weave with a light blue skull design stitched into his right shoulder; The Disgraced's symbol.
He eventually found himself in front of a large set of iron double doors, with the skull etched carefully into the metal.
A faint sound came from within, and he leaned forward to listen. Curiosity killed the cat. He thought. He didn't want to risk his job, and if what the colonel said was correct, he didn't want to make things worse for himself.
The noise grew louder, and it sounded like- arguing?
Suddenly the door was thrown open and Felix jumped backwards as a large form towered over him.
"Speak of the devil." The Exo said, scanning Felix over with bright orange LED eyes. His metal face was scarred with dents and scratches, each telling a story. Two metal spikes jutted outward, almost like horns.
He snapped to attention. "Rookie Felix Vonswitch, reporting for duty." He saluted the Exo titan, who simply scowled.
There was a loud cursing in the background followed by a thud, and a vague shout of pain.
"Can we take this outside?" The Exo asked grimly, not expecting an answer. He closed the heavy metal door shut with a boom.
"Sir!" Felix saluted.
"At ease. We don't do formalities here." The Exo said grumpily, crossing his arms.
Felix shifted his feet uncomfortably. "Oh, uh... Okay... Who exactly are you?"
The Exo offered his hand with a faint whirring of gears. "The name's Hansen-29, but you can call me Hans."
Felix shook his hand. "Like Hans Solo from that pre-golden age movie."
An echo of a smile twitched across Hans' face.
"Yeah, sure kid. Sure."
A loud thud resonated throughout the hallway as something- or someone- hit the door.
"For the love of god." Hans cursed and angrily marched over and yanked the door open with a swoosh.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE?" He bellowed.
A female warlock sprang from the ground nervously. "Sorry, Hans..."
The Exo sighed. "Felix, this is Jessie Farcry. Jessie, Felix Vonswitch."
She grinned jovially at him, blonde hair running smoothly down her shoulders, ovular face magnifying her green eyes which seemed to spark with energy.
"Hi there!" She chattered energetically, giving a small wave. He waved nervously back.
"Nice to meet you." He stammered nervously, looking at his feet. She put a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"It'll be okay, man! Rookies are always nervous." He forced a smile at her optimisim. "You might not have noticed, but we got it good!" She waved an arm at the room, and his jaw dropped.
There was a black leather couch that sat before a glass table, which bowed before a gigantic television. By the television was a shelf filled to the brim with movies, and underneath that was what looked to be a somewhat-mini-bar.
"This is awesome!" He exclaimed, walking around in awe.
"If only we had time to use it..." Hans sighed, gazing pointedly toward the tv.
"Well look what the cat dragged in." A harsh voice said, and Felix turned around to see a dark figure among the shadows.
Jessie sighed. "You lost fair and square, Heather. You get to mentor him."
The figure merely snorted.
"Um... Who is this?" Felix asked, hesitantly pointing to... Heather?
Hans stepped in. "This is Heather. And no, she has never once taken off her helmet."
"What do you mean by that?" He asked, as the figure stepped into the light.
Simply put, she had no face; or so it seemed.
A glass veil streched out from inside the dark shadows of her purple hood and stopped only at the chin. Nowhere else was visible; her entire body was covered in purple kevlar and black carbon fiber. She also seemed to be a hunter.
That was when Felix noticed that their uniforms were all different; Jessie's was hued blue, while Hans' was hued a deep green.
"So what's the significance of our uniform color?" He asked.
Hans gave a curt shrug. "We just got to pick our colors. But because you're new, you got assigned a random color that wasn't already selected by a team member."
"Oh! And one other thing," Jessie interjected. "There's another one of us; Tom Keflin, but his off day was today. His uniform is yellow."
Felix perked up, curious. "What class is he?"
"He's a warlock, sadly." Hans groaned. "We haven't had a second titan in years ever since..." He trailed off, and the room grew silent.

Jessie broke it with strained happiness. "Well, Heather will be your mentor."
"Go -blam!- yourself with a cactus." Heather said impassively.
"And your quarters is down there." She pointed toward a hallway.
She turned back to Felix. "Oh, and welcome to the Disgraced. We may seem nice, but trust me," she gave him a wicked grin.
"The next 6 months are going to be absolute hell for you."

Next up, I'll be doing character profiles (maybe character art?) so you guys can understand Jessie, Felix, Hans, Heather, and Tom a little better in chapters to come.
