He also made false complaints (like how inventory items like gloves/pack/holster don't actually look different on your character when yeah actually it does).
I take his videos with a grain of salt the size of Destiny's fanbase.

since most of your characters appearance is through the appearance gear. the small detail that your gloves go from full black to 95% black with a white stripe on it isn't really saying much

They affect your appearance so minutely that it isn't even noticeable unless you know about the effects.
