*Buys car. Gets free air freshener. Screams to the heavens that air freshener was not free without purchase of car*
This is how people around here sound right now.

More like buys car, only comes with 3 wheels, gets 4th wheel 6 months later and thinks its free. If it were truly free it would available to all, not just those who purchased the taken king.
-
Edited by The Chicago Way: 3/19/2016 4:53:22 PMA 3 wheeled car is undrivable unless you're a stuntman. Destiny is not unplayable without this update.
-
You're right. It's more like your car maker releasing updates to add functionality to your blue tooth system for free. Except they are functions a lot of blue tooth systems have and should have been included in the first place.

When bungie released the taken king they flat out said they were only releasing about 40% of it. Thats why there are still advertised exotics that aren't in the game yet. Hence not free, and part of the purchase price of the taken king. When you purchase a season pass and the second DLC comes out did you get it free? No, it was part of your season pass purchase price. Same thing happening here.
-
Edited by The Chicago Way: 3/19/2016 4:59:10 PMWhere does it say they where only releasing 40% of TTK? Post a link a please and you will have my sincerest apologies. From what I heard TTK was supposed to be last dlc until Destiny 2.
-
Its common knowledge. The plan all along with the taken king was $40 with free updates. Thats why there were time gated exotics that still aren't in the game.
-
But you specifically said only 40% of the TTK was released. Where is proof of that?
-
I was estimating the number. But you've already agreed that they have held content back and our releasing it now, which does not make it free, it makes it part of the taken king price. If it were not part of the taken king price and just free, then it would be available to all players, not just those who purchased the taken king. Basically bungie is giving people something they have already paid for, and people are getting excited that they don't have to pay for it again. Its ridiculous.
-
I'm asking how you do you content was withheld? Other than making up numbers or hearing it from a friend of a friend of a friend.
-
Are all the taken king exotics available in the game? Were they at launch? If you answered no to either one of those questions (which you should have as its a fact) then content was held back. Not even reallly debatable at this point.
-
So, no proof then?
-
Are you really this dense? I'll ask you again, were all exotics advertised with the taken king in the game at launch? Are they now? Can you get the exotic warlock boots at this moment? Because those things are content. And if some of them were held back at launch and still aren't in the game now, then thats indisputable proof that content you paid for with the taken king has been held back. No wonder bungie has such an easy time fooling you.
-
Ok Mr. 40%. I don't know what exactly the new content is going to be, but if 40% of it is missing exotic boots I guess I'll get upset.
-
If you can't accept what's right in front of your face I can't help you.
-
This is the last I'll say about this: if the update drops with new weapons and gear, yet none of them include exotics that were supposedly held back, will you be happy then? Just wondering.
-
My happiness with the update will hinge very little on that. You argued that there wasn't held back content. I proved you wrong. Deal with it.
-
You didn't prove anything except you like to make up numbers. The end.
-
"I'm asking how do you know content was withheld?" That's your quote in this thread. Are exotic weapons something that are in the game of destiny? If so then that is content. Are there exotics that were advertised with the taken king that are still not available in the game? If the answer is yes, then that is content withheld. I'll make it easy for you, the answer to both questions is yes.
-
Oh my lord yes
