You're absolutely right. Why would Destiny do anything The Division does? It's absolutely mind-numbing, like:
Matchmaking: Who wants to group up in-game, for any activity, without having to go on my phone or computer and write a personal ad.
Trading: Nobody likes helping out their friends. I need all 13 of my 280 No Land Beyond's so that I can infuse them in to the 250 purples I get from PvP.
Skills and Talents: Why would I want to build my character around a certain talent or skill? That just takes way too much time and brain power. I want to be locked in to one clearly undefined role with lackluster skills.
Gear: I definitely don't want gear with more than 2 perks/stats. It gets too confusing at that point. I don't want to have the ability to build my character around a perk/stat, that's so boring.
Stats: I want to have ambiguous stats that have no meaning so min/maxing doesn't mean anything.
Story: Absolutely no one wants a meaningful and engaging story that makes sense. I like my stories to make no sense and then have to collect things to have it make some sense.
There are so many more terrible choices The Division made to truly make it the RPG Shooter Destiny is, thank you for opening my eyes.
