Sorry, but I just don't agree. TDB was not medium sized, it was small and beyond CE it was awful (and there is a good reason it's considered one of the worst DLC's of all time by some reviewers) and HoW was not large given that it could be beaten in a matter of 5 hours. We had 1 small, 1 small-mid and then TTK was large (but was not an entire game it was 10-12 hours of new content MAX and some more hours of rehashed year 1 content that wasn't new).
I think people need perspective too, not going to disagree with you on that one, but I just don't believe that a company who will outright lie to their customers (as they did about SBMM) has any respect for their players. They will respect the players enough to not lose them, no more. TTK would be the only DLC put out to date that I would say is even close to the level of the Borderlands DLC (most of which was highly praised).
I also think these "events" like the Halloween one and Valentines day (which was a totally stupid event within the Destiny universe and a shooter) should have been free as they literally added nothing new to the game (I don't consider 2 new shaders which were slight tweaks to existing shaders and reskinned ghosts new content). SRL would be the only thing I would agree was actually new content and ultimately as much as I am totally embarrassed to admit, I bought a bit of silver (which I still haven't used all of and never will) so this content wasn't free as I gave them money for nothing (after they said microtransactions would fund the year 2 events before I realized the events were mostly garbage).
I'm not saying "free" content is a bad thing, it's not free to me, but I don't think Bungie deserves any applause. This is a player retention tactic for the business, not a gesture of good will.
