Destiny could learn from The Division

Having read the insightful threads from respectable members of this community on how The Division is the Destiny-killer, aswell as witnessing the incredibly popular social-utopia that is the Division forum, I really think Bungie should take a page or two out of Ubisoft's book. By making a few changes based on winning aspects of The Division, I firmly believe Destiny could once again be a great game. Change 1: Enemies - Scrap every enemy and instead create a single race of dregs dressed in an assorted variety of cotton / polyester sweatshirts, scarves and hats. Buff enemy armor by 800%. Name them all Alex. Change 2: Bosses - Scrap all boss fight mechanics. Scrap every existing boss in lieu of one of the aforementioned enemies with a higher amount of HP and damage output. Pick a noun at random, set as boss name. Change 3: PVP - Scrap the existing PVP completely, and instead allow guardians to kill eachother in a specific area of Patrol mode. Players must complete a Warsat event to keep any collected loot. Have deaths reduce light level. Change 4: Locations - Scrap the moon, venus, mars, saturn, and reef. Scrap patrol matchmaking. Change 5: Endgame - Scrap all endgame content in lieu of a max light level difficulty for 5 story missions. Change 6: Mobility - Scrap sparrows, pikes, heavy pikes and interceptors. Scrap jumping. Scrap crouching. Buff jogging. Add shadestep to every class. Change 7: Gear - Hand out legendaries and exotics freely, but with a 99% chance of having a useless roll. Sweet! A Gjallarhorn! ..Aw man, Shank burn.. Change 8: Other - Make the game third-person. Nerf strange coin drop rate. Scrap existing supers. Players must queue to interact with vendors. These suggestions are the result of hours of tireless research.

 • Change 1: Enemies - Scrap every enemy and instead create a single race of dregs dressed in an assorted variety of cotton / polyester sweatshirts, scarves and hats. Buff enemy armor by 800%. Name them all Alex. - Are you upset cause the factions look different and are human and not powered by space magic? Change 2: Bosses - Scrap all boss fight mechanics. Scrap every existing boss in lieu of one of the aforementioned enemies with a higher amount of HP and damage output. Pick a noun at random, set as boss name. Considering we only have hard and challenging mission and not a real end game fight yet even though it's on it's way. Have you tried fighting the helicopter boss? Most bosses in Destiny are just larger versions of the normal enemies with larger health pools. Adding extra shields or controlling when a boss can be damaged just to add three waves of enemies isn't that exciting. Change 3: PVP - Scrap the existing PVP completely, and instead allow guardians to kill eachother in a specific area of Patrol mode. Players must complete a Warsat event to keep any collected loot. Have deaths reduce light level. Unless you have run the Dark zone and have been in fire fights on three sides with Rogues bearing down on you, how can you even compare that to the tiny pvp zones in Destiny? Is it because you would rather be able to lane camp with a 1k yard stare? Change 4: Locations - Scrap the moon, venus, mars, saturn, and reef. Scrap patrol matchmaking. Yeah those maps are so massive and everyone spends so much time on patrol. Change 5: Endgame - Scrap all endgame content in lieu of a max light level difficulty for 5 story missions. Destiny has had since late 2014 to work on it's end game. The Division has been out what two weeks? Are you mad it has garnered so much attention so quickly? Change 6: Mobility - Scrap sparrows, pikes, heavy pikes and interceptors. Scrap jumping. Scrap crouching. Buff jogging. Add shadestep to every class. Again the Division is based in a more realistic setting. If you prefer space magic and floating and triple jump. Stay here and ride your sparrow on patrol by all means. For some reason in your head, rolling away from the enemy = shadestep. lol. Change 7: Gear - Hand out legendaries and exotics freely, but with a 99% chance of having a useless roll. Sweet! A Gjallarhorn! ..Aw man, Shank burn.. Destiny hands out legendaries with bad rolls on a daily basis. It's why you see so many people posting about their rolls. Oh in case you didn't know cause you sound ignorant to the fact, High ends are not = to exotics. High end is a different tier of gear altogether. More powerful end game gear that can be equipped in every slot. So yeah, just like the gear before it, it is generated with random perks. Change 8: Other - Make the game third-person. Nerf strange coin drop rate. Scrap existing supers. Players must queue to interact with vendors. Nothing wrong with a third person shooter. Not sure why all you hipsters have a problem with it. Some players out there can enjoy first person and third person. Phoenix coin drop rate was reduced because it was too high to begin with. Some times when games launch adjustments to in game need to be made. Have you heard of the loot cave? Oh yeah no crutch supers either. In the Division they are team based and design to work for your entire squad. Not so you can super charge yourself with electricity and go on a easy mode 6 kill streak. Where the hell do you have to queue to speak to a vendor? Misinformation? TLDR: You shouldnt post about the game unless you have played it. That way you don't sound so stupid. It will benefit the rest of this community.
