They'll probably make etheric light useful again. So I'm not sure what your complaint is.

Do people just not get how gear grind games work? New gear that makes the old gear obsolete is the carrot that gets you to keep playing. If you thought 320 light was it, forever, the end...you're being silly.

It's you that fail to see the bigger picture. Destiny is a progressive game, meaning as you start as a fresh level 1 guardian you have things to do throughout. Not all events are designed to be revisited. You are looking at this with the perspective of an end game player, not a new player. If you stumbled across destiny now you would see it works, but as you have gone along with the ride and seen the evolution you have always been at the limit of their progress. Go play something like WoW and you'll see that not all raids are intended for all levels. Ps. I'm sick of people looking back at VoG through rose tinted spectacles, I certainly don't want to waste my time running through it at a higher level. I could just run it now if I liked it. If it's the higher tier drops that you want though, they are coming regardless so either run your old raids for the pleasure of it or just wait for the new gear if you are reward driven.

No love from the community? Are you insane? People loved the year 1 raids. Get a clue.

I loved that too. HoW was the dlc that enabled you to ascend everything to 365 in the first place.
-
It definately enabled variety but PoE wqsnt challenging and just felt hollow. For not adding a raid to the DLC, we all expecteded something more creative but what we got felt thin. Lets not forgot how they made skolas a bullet sponge too.

Atheon was a sponge as well. He's a raid boss. What would you expect?
