Not defending Bungie when people claim that a free to play game like Warframe is updated regularly compared to Destiny seem to forget that Warframe doesn't have a full blown sequel in development rather than updates. Hence the major lack of content Destiny has now. The reasons for why Bungie are giving us a full blown sequel could be anything. Maybe they want to ditch last gen which did bring many limitations for this game such as the engine which limits the ability to patch or create content swiftly, vault space, lack of dedicated servers because of the game being on four different platforms etc.
