IT'S A "DON'T NEED TO PAY MORE" DLC, STOP COMPLAINING ONCE..
Guys guys... About the news.. Be at least once happy...
It's a free DLC right, people working on that content are not making any money for the company. Yes they will reuse some stuff we had before, and that's totally fair. How can you make new content to make people happy and still don't waste too much money on it => reuse old stuff to make some new, that's a fair compromise ?
They have a team working hard on the next big expansion later this year and another team even bigger working on Destiny 2 for next year. It's not like if lazy developers were taking drugs with some Russian chicks around a swimming pool at the top of Bungie's building.
Edit: I saw a few comments about the DLC being part of TTK. So Instead of Free DLC, let's say then "you don't need to pay more for it" DLC. But I guess it's the same issue for any "Free DLC" (the division, the witcher...), it's never really free if you had to pay for a game at first. *Okay*
Edit2: Okay they get money from the emotes that many people bought. But if the money is an issue for you I guess you didn't buy any emotes in the first place.

Edit4: it is sad that I just wanted people to stop complaining and to just be happy once but they found a way to focus on FREE and DLC on my post and that's all... I guess I should just give up on them... :/

Ttk is a expansion. So any content that comes out with that expansion you automatically get. Have none of you guys played any mmo on the computer? That what bungie is doing.

Looooool You call 1 strike DLC? This is nothing more than just a simple hotfix or a quick update. Not a friggin DLC lol. And people are mad because 1 strike isnt enough after 7 months. People that complain about the people that are complaining about this "update" are friggin addicts that need to get themselves checked. If you can still defend this company... There's something really wrong with you or you are addicted in such a way you can't rationalise properly anymore.

Y2 pkayer, so I don't understand all of the updates/ expansion mechanics. The question I have, is what will happen with all of the exotic engrams people have been storing in there vault and post master. While they decode possibly as new stuff? Also at a higher light level since levels are going up? I don't have many but I have a few.

1 ReplyI'm assuming that when Bungie started work on Destiny, they bit off way more than they could chew. The original game had to be cut up into pieces to stretch the game even more (aside from probably the raids and a select few missions, which were made from scratch), and it only got worst as time progressed. By the time they started working on TTK, Bungie realized they didn't have enough time to create content to last throughout Destiny's lifetime, so they made the whole 320 light with terrible drops BS. Time gated content and all that good stuff to stretch Destiny as thin as it could go. Annnnd now, they're probably stuck trying to future proof Destiny. But to do that, they need this drought to catch up on future DLC. They probably planned to keep doing micro transaction based events throughout the entire year, but fans a didn't want any of that, so they're probably going to cut some content out of the sequel to put out for summer and release this spring update bringing back old content. Seeing as Activision had to bring in another company to help with development, this theory is at least plausible. So they're probably simulateously working on this upcoming spring update, summer DLC and Destiny 2 at the same time(maybe more), all while being overtaken by The Division and more AAA titles releasing while they're playing catch up. Either way, Bungie got themselves into this mess. And you can support Bungie and Destiny or not. Whether you think Bungie is trying their best or if you think they've become "bottom-of-the-barrel" developers, either way, everyone's opinion is correct in this situation. It all depends on how you look at the situation. You can't deny there have been a ton of mistakes made on Bungie's part. But they're only human and the video game industry can be complicated and frustrating. At the end of the day though, every decision made was Bungie's. From making a game for 4 platforms, to signing a contract with Activision and not being crystal clear with their fans. Any problem they're facing now is all their own fault and fans have a right to be pissed, or you a right to be sypathetic towards their situation. Either way, this isn't something fans should argue about with each other. I think it's easy to see both sides of the argument.

If it's free and good quality, then good. If it's free but shit then I'd happily PAY for quality content.

If it's worthless to me and most people then by popular opinion it's pretty much worthless. I can't say it's worth because it's not out yet and we have no idea what the content is. That said there is ways Bungie could make players happy with minimal effort. The Taken King is a HUGE step in the right direction. However......... *Old gear should have been upgradable ever since the Taken King. (Including the CE Ghost shell or has that yet changed? It should also go to Destiny 2 to show you were an early supporter in the original Destiny.) *The Patrols should have been updated LONG ago and have some missions be PvP enabled for extra rewards. *The game needs more story and a good way to tie us over is a library added to the tower granting us access to the Grim tomes we acquired so we don't have to leave the game just to do research on content that should have been in the story to begin with =P *The Raids should allow the option for random people to take them on after showing time and time again less that optimal amounts of players can beat their raids. Far better than again leaving the game to find a group that you don't have to kiss tushie to be part of. As of the Taken King it's a huge step in the right direction however the ease to which this is an Mutiplayer Shooter and not a Frustrate Player Shooter is still a long ways off. This point we just have to be wary that Destiny 2 isn't another washed out version of sci fi iteration of Call of Duty.

1 ReplyAs someone who has been very critical of Bungie for months now, this was more than I expected. Not what I had hoped for, but it's still something. I'm happy to see that it seems like it will be more than just throwing on another challenge mode onto the only raid that has value in year two. I'm happy to hear we'll finally be getting some more gear. Sure, it's not an update to the old raids/PoE, and it's not them blanket allowing us to upgrade all year one gear to year two levels, and giving us back all the exotics they held back moving into year two. But it will potentially be a lot more than some of the "events" we've gotten thus far. It sounds like it will actually be something with some impact. I'm really hoping this will turn into something that will give me reason to play again; something to aim for that doesn't feel pointless like 320 was/is.

I just hope auto rifles are fixed especially Fabian strategy. Buff the immobius shotgun, fix hit detection for blade dancer, shoulder charge and suncharge. Then buff both blade dancer and sunbreaker as well help sunbreakers neutral game. Update prison of elders by leaving skolas and adding more bosses after him with another big bad at the end. All the other levels do whatever you want. At at least want to see this much.

He will make something work BUT just for sometimes, but hey he will give you free sticker. BTW you will pay for everything. That sticker is free of course, becuase you are loyal you know ;) Is that fine with you? I do not think so ;)

HoW ended up being a horrible POS made so obsolete by TTK that you could actually get a refund on it. It was not the content that was horrible it was the amount of $$$ you paid for said content. There are many of us that so feel that we are owed some content. Until they can prove that we are not getting an 'etheric light' band aid we are going to have low expectations and this skepticism from getting burned is the result of that.

2 RepliesSome people will never see the bad in Bungie... See that thing in the distance? You can explore that... ...oh, wait, no you can't. Don't get me wrong Destiny is a good game. It used to be amazing but it had so much more potential. If you're happy with the way the game is being managed then fair enough but I'm not. I bought in to the 10 year plan. It didn't even make 2... I want Destiny to succeed but this update won't even come close. It's DS3 for me on April 12
