IT'S A "DON'T NEED TO PAY MORE" DLC, STOP COMPLAINING ONCE..
Guys guys... About the news.. Be at least once happy...
It's a free DLC right, people working on that content are not making any money for the company. Yes they will reuse some stuff we had before, and that's totally fair. How can you make new content to make people happy and still don't waste too much money on it => reuse old stuff to make some new, that's a fair compromise ?
They have a team working hard on the next big expansion later this year and another team even bigger working on Destiny 2 for next year. It's not like if lazy developers were taking drugs with some Russian chicks around a swimming pool at the top of Bungie's building.
Edit: I saw a few comments about the DLC being part of TTK. So Instead of Free DLC, let's say then "you don't need to pay more for it" DLC. But I guess it's the same issue for any "Free DLC" (the division, the witcher...), it's never really free if you had to pay for a game at first. *Okay*
Edit2: Okay they get money from the emotes that many people bought. But if the money is an issue for you I guess you didn't buy any emotes in the first place.

Edit4: it is sad that I just wanted people to stop complaining and to just be happy once but they found a way to focus on FREE and DLC on my post and that's all... I guess I should just give up on them... :/

2 RepliesAnyone remember when taking king's kings fall raid was coming out? Remember when people were theorizing and getting hyped up if there was gonna be a taken shader? Now more than likely this is a taken shader to replace the queens web shader as the reward for a taken poe. And now people are like wtf BUNGIE you added a taken shader and redid Poe. ( mind you the countless forum posts asking to simply reskin old content or make taken versions of it among the countless ideas for horde modes ) Now they did reskin and remake old content ( although I have no idea the quality of it and I am sure to set my expectations quite low ) and everyone is like wtf? This community man while I hate bungies buisness practices and what happened with this game this community is possibly the most hypocritical utterly retarded I have ever seen

A free dlc and new stuff is good. A free dlc with old stuff isn't free dlc, it's old content being updated.

And anything that is 'new' is actually just time-gated content cut from TTK to artificially extend the games life and make it look like it has more content than it actually does.

The only game I can think of that puts out free updates like this is GTA. To the people that say "I can't think of another AAA title with so little content"... heard of battlefront?

9 RepliesPeople aren't mad that there's new content. People are mad that Bungie calls this a "live" game and it took them 7 months to implement any real "new content". I think people have a right to be upset it took them this long because of what Bungie itself claims it is. They can make changes any time they want and it took them over half a year to make any that anyone would consider worthy of being hyped about.

I rather pay for something good then have something free that will last a couple days. For me though it may be too little too late. There are other games taking up my time.

What about the dark below and house of wolves? We paid extra for those dlc amd everything was just reused areas ran backwards, aside from the raid and poe

Reasonable point. Strange though it sounds I'd rather have the option to pay for something the size of HoW or CE than get a smaller update for free. That said if it turns out to be decent I'll definitely be making some kind of silver purchase to support future such developments (Haven't done so far, paying for cosmetics doesn't appeal.)

Some of us paid for the vanilla version, the 2 DLCs then have to pay full price for TTK which also included the vanilla and 2x DLCs so please dont tell me its free....a lot of usehave paid a hell of a lot of money for this then you have the desticles who pay for the emotes so believe me its far from free.

That's why this community is so toxic a bunch on whinny hipsters (lMAO). If you dont like the road Destiny is going on then go play something else. I have been on the Division but will be back when new FREE (with TTK) content drops.

Play something else in the meantime if you are bored, after 1 week of not playing you don`t even care anymore. And when something new is released, you can happily play again if you are interested. My problem with Bungie is low efficiency when it comes to patching bugs and unbalanced weapons/abilities. And the communication regarding those things. I have understood now, that if they could patch it asap they would have.. There must be some pretty outdated hardware and software at their studio, if everything takes months to change.

Agreed, I see it as a free update... They "could" have charged for it but wisely have decided not to. I paid for TTK months ago and have had my monies worth of gaming time so let's wait and see what this entails before judging

1 ReplyNo complaints here. Just makes me laugh at all the people jumping to conclusions based on a picture. We're getting a new strike, new gear (although I think it will be the last of the time gated stuff), and more. The article never mentioned Prison of Elders...anywhere. Everyone complaining is making an assumptuon based on a picture that shows what appears to be 3 Taken guardians at the Reef, wearing PoE gear, which, as far as I'm concerned, doesn't mean shit. Maybe Bungie thought it looked cool, or maybe they're just trolling us, who knows. I'm glad something new(ish) is coming. Until then, people need to chill out.

6 RepliesThey can't it's the new generation of spoiled entitled kids that the government and liberal parents created. It even impacts how developers build games. In Vanilla WoW it was geared towards raiding your butt off in 40 man raids for high end. The raiders had the best of the best and you know the non raiders carried on with dungeons and other things. No one really whined or moaned until the end of Burning Crusade. Blizzard lowered difficulty and gave casuals more Things to do....access to higher level gear without raiding. Next expansion they had 10 man and 25 man raids.....hard modes hell you name it. Casuals still not happy.....hell next comes LFG dumbed down raids, dumbed down content, dumbed down game. Elitist lose interest and move on all that's left is casuals and cry babies. It's like this in 90% of the games I play. Developers cater to the casuals and they still not happy. Endless cycle of dumbed down game until the player base moves on to the next. I've played Destiny since last fall...and overall it's been worth every penny. I would like to have high end gear through raiding and do end game but that's on me. I don't have friends, and horrified about LFG after I've raided in Wow for the last 12 years in the same guild. You won't see me crying my eyes out though and attempting to bend the game to my benefit.
