Why does everyone hate DeeJ now???
So apparently everyone now hates DeeJ for two reasons.
1. There wasn't enough info in the weekly update
2. He put a tiny joke at the bottom.
1: Well I agree, the weekly update was quite literally worthless. But it didn't give less info than 90% of the other recent weekly updates so I don't know why people are mad about this.
2: So DeeJ replied this [spoiler]https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/195860246/0/0/1[/spoiler] to a thread as a joke. I and a lot of other users thought it was pretty funny. Now at the end of the weekly update he said the thing the maker of that thread didn't want him to say and added a link to his thread at the end. For some reason people hate him for this, which I think is complete bullshit. You're gonna hate someone because he made a joke? That's ridiculous, just.... wow. I've been on #offtopic for months now, I haven't visited #destiny since then. I thought #offtopic was bad but this shit is just 10000 times worse. Some people even said he should be fired because of this!
Just start talking about nerfing Titans or whatever you guys wanted again and leave DeeJ alone. He did nothing wrong.
Edit: Apparently everyone hated DeeJ before this, I didn't know because I never used #destiny. This thread is just about the recent weekly update and the shitstorm associated with it.

I view it like this: Right before TTK dropped, he posted along the lines of, " we value all your hard work and dedication and don't want to take that away". TTK drops and everything was wiped and nothing carried over. Is he to blame, technically no, but he said it as a representative of bungie and therefor is the scapegoat. About 2 months ago he said about future content update which we are still waiting for. Excuses as to why it isn't posted yet is basically because he doesn't want to post something and not deliver. Once again, he"s the messenger but since he said it, so he's the goat. Then we got the infamous "your move" joke. Although I thought it was funny, I think it was done at the wrong place and wrong time. I'm sure people can tell you tons more, but these are what come to my mind. I don't hate him per se, but I think he could do his job a lot better.
