I think because they had somewhat of an audience before destiny and most people are there for entertainment. They may not be the best at pvp, but in my opinion they are more entertaining than those others listed.

How so?

Most pvp people are good but sorta boring so they'll have loyal followings but small appeal to an average person. People who have a lot of viewers are usually also entertainers, either they're funny or have gimmick that makes people want to watch them. Compare it to tv shows, smart intellectual shows will have very few viewers on average while dramas or comedies will get more viewers.

I guess I'm not the type of person that would want to see a guy go full on try hard every match. When goth or broman play it feels more laid back and chill.
