True, I completely agree, plus they already nerfed its effective blast radius. If half of these complainers actually used it, they would realize it needs to detonate relatively close to their intended target. Plus, if you throw a firebolt and you are immediately killed, it instantly nullifies the dot effect.

  • Doesnt firebbolt have the largest diameter of all scan grenades..? Axion bolt matches this. Axion can be tanked and do like 27 damage, just run straight into it and turn. Firebolt? If youre in the circle, youre tagged. Disengaged for 14 seconds and extremely susceptible to rush. Or i can pop you with any headshot and you might aswell call for a revive or drop your controller. Dunno what else to say

  • Name a grenade that won't leave you with little health when hit? Do you really leave battle and hide or are you hit from far away and discouraged from rushing or camping? Did you know this grenade can be countered or do you just get facts from the games you have played? What classes do you play?

  • Yes, other grenades do great damage, but they don't leave you out of play for 14 seconds. That's what makes it op, the length of time the burn takes, and the length of time it stays before you can recover.

  • Solar does the same. Infact other classes can do burn damage what is wrong with you? I use solar and can care less about bolts. You want to effect my skill tree because you refuse to find the existing counters and strategies? You also make these OP claims yet it is a limited game mode only that people care about. Trials is maybe 2 a month and not many days at a time mode. In your mind however it is fine to completely change my ability to play every game mode for the entire subclass? If perks are actually making you and your whole team take potty breaks every 25 secs you need to evaluate if your ready for that game mode. While your crying others are overcoming.

    Lmao over reacted a little there didn't you?! Solar grenades don't do as much initial damage, it's all dot if you either a.get hit by it or b. Walk through it. Both of which or rare and easy to avoid. Trip mines require placing and have no where near the aim assist fusion grenades do, as well as lightning grenades. I don't want to "strip you" of anything, also "what are you talking about" is quite ironic, however I will indulge, you mention trials. You do realise it last for 87 hours in total right? 6pm Friday night till Tuesday at 9 am (reset time), well over half the hours in a week. So what's your point?! In any playlist or in any case regarding pvp a firebolt causes a player to be out of battle or play rather for on average 14 seconds. That is over powered. Simple. Edit: "overcome" so you mean be forced into using nightstalker just to cheese away the burn because of how wide the aoe is ?

  • Dont see why class matters. I play all 3. I get my info from the games ive played since beta and keep up with nerfs. Its a natural response when suffering DoT to disengage from a firefight. And utilizing DoT means you want people to not rush you. Tell me im wrong.

    Not in your view just in your scope. Your focusing on a tiny aspect of a much bigger picture. I'm trying to figure out how much of it you see. I asked the questions but none were really answered. I'm not trying to be mean but many people seem to be making similar claims but have no numbers. Just trying to follow. In my view bolts suck. I just use them in trials and even then just recently because all the fuss. Most of the time they are countered or I assisted someone else but got no kill lol. I played a team of all singers and bolts was not why we lost. I very rarely use them close quarters. I usually use to loosen up campers, discourage a rush or support a team rush. As someone that uses all classes your Singer never gets countered? You never get kills stolen? Are you finding that you and all your team are being constantly wiped out by bolts? If so how do you prepare for that?

  • You use them to discourage a rush. So why'd you question me about that? And when i feel like going in max discipline firebolt spam, nope. I know how to space myself and bait. As long as i have a firebolt im getting a kill if i rush correctly.

  • I never questioned you on that and I also never agreed. You made the statement of how you use them and asked if I agree. I do agree on how you use them but I see more than that. You also just told me you rush with them also now. And that you always kill and always spam at full dis. That is a grenade every 25 secs. You must get a ton of kills. Happy it's that easy for you I hope I can see this in action. Until then I'm seeing something different. Now we're you also aware singers have less than 1 KD? That doesn't support the picture your painting. Let me check your stats maybe I can compare your classes and get a better picture. I wanna be that good too =)

  • Okay quick overview. BTW I like to look and see and ask if I am right. Just started reading these like to know if I right so I don't assume. So obviously you play more than a Singer and you have had a reset on 2 accounts from the looks. Your warlock is lately only doing trials not much else but also has the lowest numbers. Your best stats are from your titan and quick view is your probably running a shoulder charge/shotgun combo. Only thing is you have a really low best game kill with it lol that's odd. Best game kills are with warlock and hunter so you seem more active with them. Your wrecking ball is also higher so you seem to be able to handle a bulk of the teams work with these guys better. Hunter has better stats and obviously longer history. I'm guessing you favor it. Your numbers say you've reset since you learned the game but numbers are still good. You like action and being upfront. You do know how to counter and stay alive. Your biggest beef is that it messes your rushes up and gives people a chance to stall you out a bit. I'm confused how someone like you makes the statements you do. I would never guess these bolts leave your team running for its life.

  • I spend my time in trials carrying. Yes i have reset twice. And this is my second account. Im a warrior but i dont shoulder charge spam. I use defender. You should have looked and saw my titan spends more than half its time in raids. You also assumed i was an average player. Which you should never do. I stand by my statements because theyre facts, and are discussed in a few sweat communities.

  • Warlock has farthest melee range. Blink matches with an ability. Titans can launch you with any melee i know exactly what youre talking about.

  • I never assumed anything. I asked questions and even in looking at your numbers I never made an assumption. I can't see what you actually play as and we are not talking but raids are we? The carrying makes sense now though that explains alot. Those bolts slow you down and your team can't deal with it. Likely your stats puts them in harder games. So they are more a pain in the ass for what your doing than an OP grenade is that fair? They aren't the strongest grenade by any means. Us singers need that to protect us from people like you lol. I am always curious, doesn't that shield protect you? The running one I mean.

  • Juggernaut takes a shotgun or fusion rifle blast. I dont use striker though. You referenced singers having a low kd and tried to make a statistic out of me. And my books dont rush much. Though ive gotten triple kills with a firebolt plenty of times. Majority are doubles. And if you meant jug blocking firebolt, no. Only if the bolt his in front of you. Side or back is a tag.

  • The Stat was from all stats, it's not from you. All Sunsingers in game have a combined KD of .96 or something. That doesn't support it being OP. That is the line I was connecting.

  • Look at random warlock mains, youll see they have more ability kills than most weapons. Which is how most warlocks get their kills. Nade spamming. Fusion grenade spamming use to be hot. But as you can see everyone uses bolts now. Ever wondered why...? Theres even a famous trials play built around winning with 3 firebolts before special ammo can even spawn.

  • Fair enough I can see that. I have tried myself to stop using them as much but everything draws you to perks. Again I have a bunch of YouTube videos and shooting is not my problem per say. Without perks the Singer is garbage but every class is lol. I started as void, thought singers were weak. The whole "Support Class" seemed like a bunch of pink loving garbage to me. Void is built for 1 on 1 battle. I prefer to handle my business and have team mates that handled theirs. I did Sunsinger just for story and unlocking purposes. Man I never went back. I unlocked Storm caller also. My kids took over my titan and hunter and so I have my warlock. Sunsinger is the funnest class ever. I can literally be the fastest person on the team bar none. I have a build and I just run around and use grenades to harass and claws for the double charge. I can switch next game and be the strongest person on the team no matter what class they are. I tank rockets and golden guns and pound away at enemy lines. All these builds come with weakness of course and can be countered. However a Singer is after all a support class. Every super has a weapon but Singer. A singer is the weapon and that weapon helps a team push or stand. Unlike a void walker, striker or bladedancer which have better one on one games. Singer is best when attacking many targets at once. There perks support that and forces you to play in that manner. Everything is built to soften targets, lock down map control or finish up strays or weakened enemies. Even the super is a choice between a posible second chance for your team or being a tank to ward off groups. You literally have no weapons! So those ability kills are easy to see. We spam mass amounts in supers. We also have perks and gear that force us to use them. Can't track a defenders bubbles and team contributions or a night stalkers. They have tools and with singers we are the tool.

  • Eh. Can jump in and only use guns or only use abilities. Sunsinger neutral is pretty strong imo. You honestly just have to be good with it and know what does how much. A single fusion grenade and a melee will take out a blade dancer and sunbreaker. Using warlocks imo is just too easy.

  • Well the funniest part is most people that say they are too easy have a higher KD with their other classes. Just be curious and poke around. If KD is the indicator of skill as people claim (I never believed this) then again that is not supported. In fact hunters would take that cake. More people have hunters than any class and hunters, and especially night stalkers have the highest combined KD in the game. So more people play the class and the class has an overall higher KD than anyother. Sorry to be all blah blah blah. I think I'm just trying to see if anyone can show me anything to support the statement. Just confusing I guess.

    When destiny first came out. All the tryhards and CoD players jumped to hunter. No one knows why but its true. Were the reason why hunters have always had the highest kd. Titans and warlocks were thought to be pve only classes (which they are definitely not) so all the casuals and rpg players picked them. Hunters were thought to be the cure to this slow paced game since CoD is so much faster. There was actually a video or post explaining this. And believe it or not everyone agreed. This was back when the community was less toxic and everyone literally got along with each other. No class beef. No huntards or crytans. Just hunter, titan, and warlock. But those times are long gone. Never coming back either sadly. All the y2 newgens and pve elitists.

  • Really? Oneshot melee on wake up. And you can spam firebolts. Highest damage reduction of all duration supers. Can survive 3 low impact sniper body shots with radiant skin. Access to ram. Shield off melee hit. 2 stickies. Dont do it.
