They're op because they keep you from engaging for 14 seconds, unlike the grenades that instantly kill you & keep you from engaging until you respawn.

Respawn and then get back to that action, about the same amount of time but if you respawn the enemy team gets points. If you were just burnt, retreated and healed then got back in the do not. If you don't like the burn time just jump off the edge or let them kill you, then you'll respawn and it'll be the same as getting nailed with a fusion grenade. Problem solved
