they aren't

try to prove that they are OP

you can't

it looks like some of you don't know how to stay back or run and communicate with your teammates to also stay back

it takes up 2 perks and doesn't even kill you

its not OP , its ok

I said STAY BACK and people or I mean retards are still saying IT LEAVES YOU ONE SHOT FOR 14 SECONDS,SO OP and that one shot thing isn't that good more bullshit like that

there is somethings that do this thing called KILL
-
160ish damage total 14 sec total burn/recovery One or two shot by most guns
-
Exactly. Sure they leave you burning for a long ass time, but you know what else burns? Incendiary grenades which leave you one shot without even doing the burn. Plus land it close it'll one shot with burn
-
I dont think they are OP, but maybe i am not using them right? I get waaaaaaay more kills with fusion nades
-
True, I completely agree, plus they already nerfed its effective blast radius. If half of these complainers actually used it, they would realize it needs to detonate relatively close to their intended target. Plus, if you throw a firebolt and you are immediately killed, it instantly nullifies the dot effect.
-
Lol this dudes salty because it's his class in question. Mega burn does kill you. All you have to do is take one tic from any gun and it'll do around 75 to 80 percent damage. One grenade..... that auto tracks and does everything for you.... you don't think that's op in a competitive atmosphere? On top of that. They get a free over shield with one melee. And can self res. You are literally blind and stupid if you think sunsingers aren't op. And the best thing about it is. You're the minority. Bungie will need it eventually. So idgaf
-
Might as well just remove Sunsinger and Stormcaller. Voidwalker is all we need.
-
Hammer of Sol took two perks to be good, was regarded as OP and nerfed into oblivion. Firebolt grenades take two perks to be good, regarded as skill requiring. Hmmmm........
-
I HAVE THE ANSWER!!!! Look below for the truth!!
because.....they're not, not op.
Simple.
-
This is why its OP. Shoot me once and throw a firebolt anywhere near me. Guardian down
-
Firebolt Grenade impact damage reduced by 20% (base 100 to 80) they were also nerfed once already
-
Prove that are not op you can't cuz they are
-
The salt infestation is spreading.
Titans and Huntards
-
They're not OP. I just think that the burn lasts a little too long. I'm fine with the grenade otherwise.
-
Honestly, fire bolts, arcbolts, fusion, and magnetic grenades take no skill to place it for your advantage but if you can't beat them join them I guess

Edited by Guardian3010: 3/8/2016 3:30:05 PMThey burn for too long and do far too much damage for something that requires a single button press and some half assed aim. I don't mind them in 6s but for 3 v 3 they're just stupidly strong. Average fire bolt hero: "Let me equip Viking funeral and gift of the sun and throw on my Voidfang Vestments, that way I'll just open EVERY firefight with a shitty grenade toss and burn potentially the whole team for 3/4 of their health. I'm good at this game! UHG? Nerf it? My class is built around these! And built around crazy melee range and over shields and orbiting and high armor/recovery!" I like this game, but it's grenades need some standardization in the name of overall PvP balance. Buff them for PvE, but a grenade as easy to use as firebolt deserves nothing but mediocre damage in PvP.
-
I wouldn't say they are over powered, but it is extremely effective. If anything, its DOT properties is what makes it so strong. It dishes out DOT, gives off their position via the damage ticks, and takes them out of a fight for a pretty long duration of time.
-
Whenever this community finds something annoying in the slightest, they go apeshit calling for nerfs. A clear illustration of your average PMSing Destiny player.
-
Go madden
-
I wouldn't say they are OP but in my opinion i would say, they are a little bit to strong. Because the burne time is to long....if you hit from this grenade, you have to escape and wait till the burn turns off and you can regenerate your life....and this time is to long. The time you can't fight are about 14 seconds, and this is at a shooter a really long time. (don't say git good or something, cause if your oneshot and challange someone who have full live...yeah, most time you will die^^) This point is only in PvP not PvE...in PvE i would say, the burn dmg and time could be longer/higher. sorry for my english...i know it isn't good, but i hope you understand what i mean.

Totally agree. They are good grenades but that makes up for the crappy super
-
Hey all you warlock haters let's talk about skip grenades that do the same damage as fire bolts and track you around the map so stop crying for a Nerf because it's not going to happen and if they do Nerf fire bolt grenades you're going to see every single warlock running double fusion grenades and then you're still going to be crying like you are right now because I know majority of y'all either main a hunter or a Titan but if you've been a warlock since day 1 you would know that we are not op we are just ok and for you hunters you are about to have gauntlets that give you two skip grenades so bye bye with you crying and step your recovery game up and Titans why are you even in the conversation
-
It keeps you out of the fight for 14 seconds and it only takes an additional body shot for it to kill you.
-
The Sunsinger has the best neutral game. However, the super is very easy to shutdown and rarely generates more than 2-3 kills depending on player skill, similar to every other super. The super cannot be used to shutdown other players supers. I die more often to tripmine grenades that are randomly thrown into the room during team fire fights then any other grenades. They are not op though. I hate shade step but it does not need to be nerfed either. All of the classes have something that annoys other players. If they are going to need anything they should nerf the burn time not the mechanics of the grenade itself. If you take away the neutral game of the Sunsinger no one will run them in pvp.
-
The only thing ridiculous about them is how long they last. Let each tick do double damage and halve the amount of ticks that occur, and then I'll be happy. No grenade should keep you out of a fight for 15 seconds.
-
Okay so Firebolt Grenades are aren't OP. If they were OP, then people would have been moaning about them since day 1. Not since the Sunbreaker Titan nerf. However says these grenades burn you for 14 seconds are freaking lying. They burn for like 10 seconds but the time it takes for your character to fully heal back up makes up the last 4 seconds. Also if you kill the Sunsinger as they throw the grenade, the burning doesn't proc and so you only take damage from the until Firebolt which is around 60 damage. Also the radius on Firebolt Grenades is around 3 metres so you gotta throw a well placed grenade. Hunters can easily jump high enough into the air to avoid the grenade. The Sunsinger super is probably one of the worst supers in the game. It's so easy to counter if they decide to self res on you. Shotgun them in the back and melee them. They are instantly dead. So shouldn't a weak super game be balanced by a strong neutral game. Nothing is OP in this game. The only thing OP is the biased opinions of cry babies who come here trying to change the game so they can succeed and get high KD ratios. I just don't believe people are able to recognise the difference between OP and balanced. Something can be powerful and balanced at the same time. Once again people will cry OP and nerf because a certain ability, or a certain gun, killed them.

I'd be fine with all dot being taken out.
