How are firebolts with the burning perks OP?

"Firebolt too OP" they scream. I laugh Fusion doesn't need any perks and it actually kills. Plus I can have two. People are complaining about the wrong thing.

Given that everyone knows the connections are not the best in the game, let's give the Hunters two abilities that makes them "vanish" for a brief second. That is in no way overpowered especially when the host has ass connection. Not trying to get Hunters jimmies rustled, as I have no real problem with any class in the game. I just hate how everything that is annoying to people in this game is labeled as OP. Most streamers hate Sunsingers because, face it, most streamers just rush in with shottys or last word and try to stomp teams out ASAP. Being caught on fire makes them stay back and the stream isn't as interesting when you can't spawn rush and murder everyone in 5 seconds. Stay back or run? How are we supposed to know if they will chuck a fire bolt? Even if we run we are tagged and are extremely vulnerable. If they shoot us even once and we get burned we die.

Its not the fact that there op its the point that you burn for far too long. I have no problem with the damage i do not want them to be nerfed i just want them to make the burn pass faster.

7 Replies160+ damage total, around 85 at the start and damage over time that takes 14 seconds until it stops and regenerating of health begins. 14 seconds is a eternity in PvP.

160+ damage on multiple targets.. Burn damages for 15 ticks with no health recovery and all you have to do is throw when you see red on radar.. No skill involved and get maximum damage

1 ReplyI run sunsinger warlock with fire bolt and funeral. It does have a strategy to it. I often use them to pin people down: they are absolute for a while because of burning, and like thorn, puts them out of the game for a little while. This allows me to get situated in trials. If tag more then one, I would typically run up and hit them with mida. However I do AGREE with the statement "they are OP" I also thing they are used more strategically.

I main warlock and now refuse to use them in PvP because they are OP.

Over 14 seconds of being absolute. From a grenade that is aoe. Viking funeral just needs removed and replaced.

2 Repliesthere are only 2 bolt grenades, Arcbolt and Firebolt, both variants have been already nerfed, and Hunters Arcbolt used to benefit from a Exotic chest piece called Lucky Raspberry that Bungie won't bring back to y2 for some reason you guys are crying to already merged grenades calling them OP, but you have no idea just how strong they actually used to be

They're very powerful for zoning and in primary battles, but inconsistent. For some reason grenade and melee burn don't always trigger.
