• The only people should be salty about this is bungie and maybe this little jab at their game would give them the kick in the but to make some awesome content.

    • I really don't think we can go two minutes without some edgy kid posting a thread on why the Division will "kill" Destiny.

Only Duhbisoft would simultaneously release two games appealing to the same dudebro demographic

        • Honestly it is a tactless and unwarranted shot at Destiny and Bungie by Ubisoft. Even the editor at Gamezone is taken back that Ubisoft used the quote out of context. So much that they are changing their own policy in allowing companies to use their quotes.. If they're already misleading people, what does that say on what might happen post release? I use to respect Ubi, but this just added to the growing list of things I as a gamer find questionable about their practices as a publisher. They're slowly becoming Activision.

The original quotes were. "Best new franchise E3 2013" So that one was based on promo footage from 3 years ago which is not very similar to the released game. Destiny won the same award the same year aswell :/ And the second quote was something like. "The Division blows Destiny out of the water when it comes to beta participation" It was referencing that 6.4m people played the Division beta compared to 4.6m people that played the Destiny one. Which was down primarily to the fact Destiny releases much earlier in the console cycle.

          • But that's not Division doing that, that's a comment from a gaming magazine (Not sure, never heard of Gamer Zone.) and even at that they compared two games that aren't comparable, so... They don't seem reliable. I do think The Division's release will be good if Destiny does lose some people. If not to make Bungie work harder, at least to give it some breathing room.

            • Game zone said it, not the division. It's just a reviewer so i dont know why people are saying "OOOOOOOH!!" When game zone said it..

              • Played in the first round of betas. I logged 12 hours total and reported a lot of bugs/glitches I had experienced. They all have been fixed from what I have read. Its a good game. The 3rd person style play and cover system are not for me. I wont buy it, but for someone who does like it Id say buy it and enjoy a fun game. As for them saying its better than Destiny, I don't believe that to be true. It's not the same game. One is first person and the other is 3rd person. If you were to compare Destiny to another game, you would be better off comparing Borderlands or War Frame to destiny. Even then, still can't compare apples to oranges. Destiny is a work in progress. They have done great with the recent addition to how they are working the story within the game. I actually enjoyed the story telling they were doing and left me with wanting more. It was engaging. I hope the Division does well because in the world of business, competition is the best thing that can happen for the consumer. It makes the company's work harder for your dollar. In turn you should get more for your buck. Destiny should take this as a great opportunity to take some mechanics and ideas from the division and turn them into their own. Or let us do space battles on our ships. :-) I hope you all have a great weekend!

                • Which is funny because they are technically forcing a review embargo by pulling the same stunt Bungie/Activision pulled with Destiny. The first quote refers to it being the best game seen at E3 2013. Seen, mind you, not even played. The second is a misquote referring to the Division beta being better than the Destiny beta in terms of numbers. Ubisoft is working so hard to sell a review-less game (same thing with Destiny) that they have to run old quotes and misquotes to make the Division seem popular.

                  • That's a compliment. GAMEZONE is saying "jeez wow destiny was an amazing game and this just blows that away!" It's trying to put it in perspective. I don't think it's in any way trying to do anything other than advertise their game and over-hype it some more.

                    • The upcoming Spring DLC bungie had talked about, THAT is their response to the Division. Even then it's still probably going to cost $20-$40. If they really wanted to try to save more of their player base, they'd offer that DLC for free.
