... Have you seen how slow they Spartans are?
Unless they have an evade on (halo reach) they go no change of evoding an nova

Edited by Edcub One: 2/20/2016 11:58:17 PMI'm talking about lore Spartans not gameplay. Who have below 4 millisecond reflexes and 65+ mile per hour running speeds.
-
Oh well In that case, sure
-
The max was about 65 mph The average was around 30-45 mph

Edited by Edcub One: 2/21/2016 3:25:59 AMThat was when the Spartan 2s were 14 years old, and had not adjusted to their augmentations. We know in real life the top speed of a normal human is 40 mph. http://m.livescience.com/8039-humans-run-40-mph-theory.html So even without their armor they would be able to run it speeds greater than this as they are superhuman. Also I want to address that when Chief tore his tendon when he ran 65 mph, was bs. We know that Spartans can move 5 times that of their normal top speed without issue. Halo: The Fall of Reach pg. 115 said: "More importantly," Dr. Halsey said, "the armor's inner structure is composed of a new reactive metal liquid crystal. It is amorphous, yet fractally scales and amplifies force. In simplified terms, the armor doubles the wearer's strength, and enhances the reaction time of a normal human by a factor of 5" So the fact that he tore his tendon by not even running twice as fast as a peak human is absurd.

Usain Bolt, fastest man on Earth, can only run a max of like 24mph. It is not possible to run 40mph
-
Yes but he doesn't have peak human speed. 40 mph is not superhuman as it can theoretically be achieved by normal people. Superhuman would be above what could be achieved by humans.
-
Technically it is peak human speed. The article is very misleading. It talks about the max force your legs can withstand which we can do a lot more. What it barely mentions is the max speed our muscles can contract and what not. Humans are hitting peak muscle contraction therefore, hitting the limit
-
That's why it's theoretical. Spartans are superhuman, processing extraordinary genetic traits, they could run at 35mph at 14 while they were not yet adjusted to their augmentations. So it's likely they can run at speeds above 40mph. But anyways my point about being able to withstand far more then what was placed on Chiefs tendon still stands.

True true can't disagree there
-
But the guardians can litteraly sprint forever
-
That's gameplay.

Edited by DINO DELUSIONAL: 2/21/2016 7:00:06 AMOk. Its just my opinion. but why do the halo fans have to be so serious. The only reasons i dont like combat evolved, 2, 3, 4 and 5 (reach and odst were good cause they had firefight) because they dont have anything to do because im poor and cant get xbox live
-
That's a very minor thing to not like a game over, but that's not the point of this thread.
