I didn't say anything about the Light Level making a difference. The reason the raid runs went smoothly for you is because the players you ran with knew what they were doing.

Edited by Jaymz: 2/20/2016 7:28:45 PMI know they went smoothly because they knew what they were doing, what the whole thread is about you can typically easily measure if someone knows what they are doing with their Grimoire score. Can easily see if someone is more skilled by looking at their Grimoire score majority of the time.

My grimoire is below 4600 and I have multiple raid completions, I do not struggle with the raid one bit. You have to remember that part of that grimoire score is pvp based and I simply don't play pvp enough to have all those grimoire cards

Edited by Jaymz: 2/20/2016 8:16:58 PMDude did you read the bold at all in the original post? I made it bold for a reason.
I am not saying all low Grimoire score players are bad, I am not saying all high Grimoire score players are good. But majority of the high Grimoire score players are good, and majority of the low Grimoire score players are not good. Think about it, there are a lot of people with low Grimoire scores, some this might be there first FPS, some might be extreme casuals, some just don't care. But people with high Grimoire score play the game a lot, they care about the game and spend a lot of time on it.
I'm just saying for people to be so exclusionary is what's hurting the destiny player base. Like, how bad are you that you can't include a first timer in your raids? Just the other day I ran with a group that had two first timers and we finished in just over an hour. I'm certainly not saying that happens all the time, I've quit groups that didn't have their s**t together and yeah, it was a waste of time, but everyone has to start somewhere. Tons of people end up quitting the game because they can't find people willing to help and it's ridiculous. If you're half as good as you think you are with your grimoire score being so high, you can certainly help out a newer player or two sometime.

Dude you don't know whats going on in my life. I had plenety of time to help people before, and I still help people in my friends list not all of them are good. I still help people who randomly add me in the tower. I still help my new friends that play the game including their friends that I've never met before. I am not saying I always do this on LFG, I did it for an experiment to see the results of high Grimoire players. I also did it becasue I've been low on time lately. The results have been wonderful btw.
