Stalemate; it'd turn into Hive Pantheon/Vex Axis Minds vs the Precursors. Destiny's infantry vastly outmatches Halo's, however. The Cabal alone could probably take both the UNSC and the Covenant; supplemented by Guardians, Vex, and Hive they'd get trashed. The Hive and Vanguard would fight the Forerunners and Flood, beating both because of the Light and Oryx.

  • How could the vex or hive beat transcendent entities? The UNSC has installation 006 in this fight, so they and Thels Sos can use it as a refuge to build their fleets with the aid of Forerunner engineers.

Because the Hive and Vex are transcendent beings themselves. Oryx gained the ability to create a disease that perverts and distorts reality itself. The Precursors are the only ones who could match the Hive Pantheon's reality alteration. The UNSC, Covenant, and Forerunners might be able to hold out for a while, but in the end they're fighting the Hive, their own men (but even more powerful,) and a virtually infinite army of Vex. It's not so much a question of "could they beat the Hive and Vex" so much as it is "could the UNSC and Covenant fight empowered Prometheans?"

No Oryx needs army's to do his bidding so he is not a reality warper of any notable level. They are not transcendent, precursors have no connection to time space or their concepts, vex and hive do.

  • The Precursors are connected to time and space; hence why they could be killed by the Forerunners and then be turned into the Flood.

  • The precursors take various forms throughout the cosmos and create various forms of life, in the case of the forerunners the chose to allow them to kill them because they had never been wiped out before and they thought be interesting. However this does not affect their conscience as they are beyond time and space they can exist within reality but they're not bound to it. The flood were create when precursors reduced their forms to dust to be revived at a later date (they had sentimental value of their forms) but got corrupted after 10 million years (possibly primordial shenanigans) and were consumed by animals.

  • Except for deities who have even more destructive power than them. The Flood need to work up to Keymind Stage to get reality altering powers, whereas the Hive start out at that level.

  • Their ability to warp reality has never shown to be on the same level as the Flood.

  • Oh, but it has. All the Flood managed to do was alter odds of statistics slightly; whereas the Hive have opened massive tears in reality itself, and creating portals between dimensions.

  • Provide an actual argument supporting this and maybe I'll agree. But as you haven't, I won't.
