Abusive Baboons

Every Raid and every Crucible match I play, as soon as I hit above 2000 in kill score, BAM! Baboon! All my ammo, super energy, and score, GONE! And no, I don't have bad wifi, my internet is fantastic! It is only this game I have ever had trouble with with disconnections. I'm pretty positive the entire bungie error code zoo has attacked me and it REALLY pisses me off... And from what I heard its mainly Activision's fault because they are putting all their server power towards CoD, which is a game that no one cares about after a few days of playing btw. @Bungie I think you need to break off things with Activision and host your own servers that can insure none of this error code spam. I'm not the only one who gets spammed with error codes left and right. I have a lot of other friends who do as well and a few have even quit Destiny and don't plan on coming back to it because of the error code spam. I would appreciate it if you guys looked into this or better yet, removed Baboon from the game. Losing all my ammo and etc during a raid or PvP match is VERY inconvenient and VERY frustrating. Please get back to me on this issue. I want to know that I have been heard and that this problem will be looked into. -Darkqualza, lifetime Bungie fan P.S. (You guys should look into re-nerfing shotguns, they can still snipe pretty far)

  • Here's how I know that it's definitely an issue with the servers and not our individual networks/connections. I play quite regularly with a few 'friends', and we do heroics, crucible and raids together. We are all on voice chat when we do that. Time and again, in the middle of, say, a heroic or crucible, I'll suddenly get the "trying to connect" message, and then if it goes all the way, It restarts Destiny with an error code like 'baboon'. That all sounds normal, right? But here's the rub. Every single time it happens when we're grouped, we ALL get kicked simultaneously and with the same error code. There's no interruption to the voice chat (I think we're all on the PSN network for chat), or my netflix streaming in the background. (I have a 75mbit cable connection so this is not an issue). All of us are hardwired to our routers, and I have a network diagnostic running that tells me if there are dropped packets, or unusual errors. I have yet to see something that corresponds with a Destiny server "glitch". And here's the kicker... we're all in different time zones. One is on the east coast (EST), another in California (PST), I'm in Idaho, mountain time, and others are Central time. So it couldn't be a "glitch" on one of our networks. That hiccup would have to happen simultaneously across many different ISPs and networks across the country for that to hold up, if it really was on OUR side. So yeah, Bungie/Activision are pretty clearly the source of the problem. I dislike when companies (Blizzard was notorious for this for awhile too) pass the blame to the user, who then jumps through all kinds of hoops to "fix" what isn't broken! I would like a heads up whenever there's a reboot, or better load balancing or whatever it takes! We've been bumped all at once as a crew of 6 while in orbit! That's just ridiculous. I love the game, and have endured it. Considering the many millions of regular players, it's time to get those issues sorted out! Peace out.
