I think that it does, but I'm willing to hear other arguments. Anyways I think it does because grimore is experience and experience is skill.

In no way, shape or form does experience determine your skill. You can have experienced a thing more than once, and still not be able to perform in it well. For instance, your grimoir only determines the amount of things completed, other than your skill. Someone who has a high grimoir could simply be one who plays the game very often.
