Grimiore = experience and time played, which does factor into your skill.... to a degree. However, each player is different and there are different skill sets so I don't know.

Unfortunately there isn't a quick way to look at someone's skill level on a case by case basis, so setting grimoire requirements is a decent option increase one's odds of finding a skilled player.

At the very least it does show how much time someone has spent playing the game and should give you some idea of said player's competency, at least on paper. I understand why someone would look at it as a way to measure skill.

Yep, it makes sense to me too (not for pvp though).

True.... because even if the grimiore score is mostly from pvp, it will still be lower than someone that plays both, but isn't necessarly good at pvp.

Well, there are just better ways to quickly judge skill in pvp than grimoire. KD, ELO, etc. None of those are prefect either, but better than anything else we can see.
