Why did i get nothing from my wormsinger rune?

Anyone know why this happened, i got the wormsinger from KF yesterday and i took in the to the machine and it didnt give me anything just took it

It spawns a mini event in Hull Breach. You need to kill the giant Ogre that it spawns and then you'll get a Wormfeeder Rune.
