Read this: Crybabies about Y1 weapon use
I sometimes use Y1 weapons (PvP) just because i like them. It doesn't mean that i don't know how to use the Y2 weapons..
Yesterday i was playing crimson and i used the thorn just because i haven't played with it in quite a while and to complete the bounty where u have to make kills with different weapons. We were on round three when i got a message from the opponents saying, scrub no skill thornbitch...
I was like wtf dude get a fking life.. first it's for the bounty and second so what if i use thorn (he was playing icebreaker)... It takes no skill?? The weapon doesn't fire by itself.. U still need to aim and shoot and fking hit the target.. It's not like the weapons is aiming itself and killing sh*t while i just run circles...
The bit*hing part of this community needs to stfu and get a life.. Nobody ever complained when they were killing shit with the gjallarhorn that it's too OP... What do people wanna see, Ban of year one weapons and the by far OP weapons now?? Then what?? There will always be weapons better then other weapons. Fking deal with it or ask Bungie to delete all the weapons but one in PvP. That way no weapon will be OP... No fking wonder we had so many OP weapons during certain months.

1999 vs 325 in the (i'll admit biased) poll. I have been trying some Y1 weapons in the trials last weekend and i've come across a lot of players doing the same. Ice breaker was a favorite and of course Thorn. When looking at the map I still picked my Mida, since is I believe more effective then the Thorn because most games were played on range. Equipping a sidearm and switching to a sniper was also popular. I also have to a admit we had some encouters that were really laggy... They just didn't die... Image u Fist of havok someone with the titan and they just run away like u slided in istead of using ur super...
Hope u guys had fun with the Y1 weapons in Crimson Doubles, I know I had a blast.. Enjoy your 320 ghosts guys and I can't wait on more info about the large dlc later this year and the sequal of destiny in 2017!!!
IT'S finally confirmed!! (just wonder if we will have to say goodbye forever to our atm Y1 weapons) What do you guys think/speculate??

I think people are still salty about the thorn meta... That and the gun's DOT is strong. Also the 3 body shot kill.

BRING BACK VOG, BRING BACK TDB,MAKE OUR GEAR ASCEND etc etc year 2 moan Gets killed by a year 1 weapon for the first time in forever NERF BAN NERF BAN NERF BAN...... Oh the beautiful irony, I got abused as a "try hard" last night for using thorn when I god damn earned the right to, I paid for it, completed a difficult bounty to get it (year 2's you won't get this) and guess what it's fun to use, feels great and the sounds!! Ooh la la. As of next week it will be resigned to the gun case for another year I'm guessing. If I were Bungie the contradiction on this forum would make my ears bleed

I enjoy dusting off the y1 exotics. Put alot of time in to get them. I even enjoy seeing thorn now days. Better than a sniper to the head.

People seem to think y1 weapons are op when they're actually pretty much the exact same as y2. The 1KYS has about the same as y1 high impact snipers. The conspiracy theory is about the same as felwinters. And even fusions are still powerful. There's just fewer options now so everyone thinks that ______ particular gun is op. Educate yourselves people.

15 RepliesSeriously? I will never understand how people defend Thorn. That thing deals an insane amount of damage in 1 shot. It's an incredibly easy to use weapon. All yr 1 weapons are easy to use. That's why people claim bs on you.

The year one primaries that I've been using were VoC, Scholar, Messenger, and Thorn when some guy in the other team wanted to be "that guy." I have no real problem with Y1 guns, except for Thorn. Thorn just rubs me the wrong way every time

I still use the OG felwinters lie, and hopscotch pilgrim. I only use the thorn when I see someone taunt using TLW then they get bad.

I enjoy using some old weapon because I use to LOVE using these weapons in Year 1. Plus whenever I die from say a BTRD or a Shadowprice or a Her Benevolence I nod a say I remember that gun ... nice. Yes the Thorn is making a comeback but really compared to the large amount of Last Words and MIDA's ain't remotely close plus most MATURE players don't care the poison does no damage really and the gun has no where near the range this exotic had in Year 1

Guess what folks these are all year 1 weapons that got brought forward. Only if your using a true year 2 exclusive weapon can you try to complain about year 1 stuff being used. Year one stuff had the best weapons this game ever made.

What's weird is you've been able to use yr1 weapons in crucible for awhile but now all of a sudden everyone suddenly wants to use them.

What all these y2 crybabies dont know is how hard we work for these weapons. Lets take the torn into account. You just dont get it by luck or by rng. You firta needs to do tons and tons of vanguard bounties just to maybe get the exotic bounty. Second you need to go into the crucible and shit on people with void weapon kills and death reset some progress so not as easy as it sounds to most not all. So yes we use it cuz its good and we earned it from lots of work put into it. Stop your bitching and just play the damn games. It's a fuking game not life so stop ruining it for everyone elae with all this nerfing and crying and bitching. Rant over

I still use BTRD. And my Her Benevolence. And my MIDA (because it needed to stay in Y1. All these bandwagon dickriders are ruining it. #NerfInbound) And I use the ol' Ballerhorn just to piss people off.

2 RepliesI dont play crucible as it isnt my thing but I grinded so hard for thorn in year one I played a round with it armed. My god I thought it was good in year one but in yesr 2 its savage. Got 16 kills which is unheard of for me. I then went to orbit and went to play pve with it. It sucked.

1 ReplyOnly hand cannon I like that I have is the Ace of Spades, but I can't use it on my Titan. I refuse to use Thorn so I guess that bounty will go incomplete.
