I made a decision to avoid posting topics whose humor is derived from the reaction of the replies, not from content of the topic itself. Obviously this topic was treading on that line and not many people could see it was satirical. Therefore many angry replies were had despite it being tagged #satire. But rather than leave the thread up with a disclaimer, I feel it's better to take it down. So...sorry.

Destiny is not just T for Teen, it's also an on-line game. 12 and under are too young in my opinion. My kids have plenty of other games to play.
-
if i was a ninja i'd be the ultimate tag policeman. jeez longface tag your shit properly.
-
It's rated 16+ in the UK, so I'd have to say yes.
but then Destiny would lose 98% of its playerbase sooooo
-
I'm 49, but my wife says I act like I'm 9. I hope this doesn't mean I'll be prohibited from playing Destiny in your utopian society. I think I'm actually pretty mature -- I don't even play Pokemon any more. Much. I can neither confirm nor deny, however, that I have ever referred to any activity at home as "igniting the rift!"

Edited by Loopnova: 2/9/2016 7:30:51 PMThe ESRB is a suggestion, there's no actual laws reinforcing the rating Edit: missed the satire tag. Gr8 b8 m8

Require kinect to play Destiny? Worst idea I've seen on these forums in a long, long time.
-
99% of players won't read the tags... Such a shame.
-
Yes I know this is satire, but I have to point out that Xbox one can be used without Kinect and being forced to use it at all is considerably wrong.
-
destiny is restricted for under 16 but who fukkin care? if they really apply this who will remain? only old fat losers who cant get a life!! lol
-
I think that you should have to be 13 to buy T rated games, and that all cashiers who sell video games have to tell the parents the rating of the game, and what it contains. If a parent truly doesn't give a f*ck about their child playing GTA V, then whatever.
-
Thats like 99% of people who post on this forum. Would be amazing if it was restricted
-
What if said child plays naked, then they will have child pornography and that's just asking for a lawsuit. ^°^
-
No more squeaker? PLEASE
-
Edited by The_Sliborg_T1: 2/9/2016 2:32:51 PMIt should be the choice of the parent or guardian to ban them from these games. If they don't worry about their kids talking to random people then thats just bad parenting and as for the violent part The parent needs to teach the child right from wrong either way if something affects the child's behavior for the worse thats the parent's fault and there is nothing the internet can do about that. But facial recognition software wtf? Thats a little over the top don't you think? I wouldn't want my child's face being scanned and put in all kinds of databases not to mention how expensive and hard that would be and just wouldn't work
-
I am 7 and I am good at destiny
-
Edited by Tim vdB3: 2/9/2016 10:18:27 AMIt's 16+ on Pegi ratings. But it's the parents responsibility. However I've seen a 9 year old getting mortal combat.
-
Nah, messing with kids is part of the fun of online play.
-
too bad 50% of xbox one users don't have a kinect
-
We should, for all shooters in my opinion, kids are the things that destroy communities and/or turn them toxic. Being as kid gamers are, I think they shouldn't allow games until they're completely matured.
-
Purge all the kids!!!
#satire
-
"Online interactions not rated" Entire game is online only
-
Yes. Purge the squeakers. Purge the nerf herders as well.
-
You got roasted by 10 year olds?
-
Edited by Fal Chavam: 2/9/2016 4:29:46 PMUhhh, what about GTA V? I've ran into kids that gotta be 9 or 10 and that game's rated M. They'll find way around.
-
It should be restricted to users over 19
-
If we did this what would all the 8 year Olds still playing COD do
