Wow there a lot of people here blasting someone because they don't want to use Defender in pve? That seems pretty mean and silly to me. Let people play what they want in the game.

Having read your numerous comments on this matter might I suggest you actually go and try the KF raid and see if that brings a different perspective to this discussion. Once you have actually completed the raid can I then suggest you complete the raid without a defender titan.
-
Edited by ChuckTownRC51: 2/4/2016 4:55:48 AMMan, you have never even played KF. Do you know how much easier that raid is with defender Titans? Also, not having the premier pve subclass leveled is basically like saying you're new to playing Titan.
-
Edited by Deadmennwalking: 2/4/2016 5:07:57 AMYou are correct. He is perfectly entitled to play what he wants. Other players (team leader) are also entitled to play what he wants. In this case playing what he wanted got him kicked. You could say both players simply played "what they want".
-
Not blasting, but instead helping OP out by knowing what people really wants when it comes to Kings fall. What is even more silly is a person who has never attempted the King's fall raid to give an opinion. Everyone has their rights to one, but to make it relevant one must have to step foot into it first. at least have the grimore card for it and not just youtube experienced.
-
Are you really going to tell me that a Defender is mandatory to beat King's Fall?
-
No I am not saying it is mandatory. What I am stating is you should have first hand experience of what the raid is and how it is like with or without a defender. I will leave you to judge and know for yourself if you think it is mandatory or not. What I can do is recommend that you will need a defender to beat the King's fall raid and make it a whole less of a headache for you and everyone else. Do you need two? no you don't. Do you have to have a defender to beat it? no you don't, but with that in mind everyone must be high enough light lvl and know what they are doing to survive in both normal and hard. Why don't you just give it a shot and then state your opinion.
-
If that's the case I already know what my opinion is. That if you can beat it without a defender then I don't care what subclasses people choose to play as
-
You're right on the fact that you dont care but others will and thats what raiding is about, working in a team together with the right stuff equip to get the task done efficiently. Like I stated go do the raid then give an opinion cuz first hand experience means more than just words exchange and ideas. It might look easier with reading and typing and concluding vs actually doing it.
-
Oh no. Did you mention "working in a team". Some players like to work in a team and raid often. Some players for various reasons don't touch the raids.
-
If that's the case then we shouldn't be talking about raids in general which this whole topic is about a raid and raiding involves teams and teams involve supports and supports involve specific requirements and thats mean back to original topic subclass.
-
Edited by Deadmennwalking: 2/4/2016 5:10:40 AMSorry I should have included a "sarcasm" tag. I raid a lot and teamwork and communication are vital. The amount of players I helped through their first raid / challenge is very high. I have helped at least 3 players kill oryx for the first time on oryx hard challenge week. As you stated you don't have to have a defender titan but it certainly makes it a lot easier (personally I have only done hard oryx challenge once without a defender titan).
-
You can play whatever you want to. Just don't bitch about it cause I won't let you in my raid team because of certain requirements you're not meeting. That's like a kid that don't want to dribble the ball when he runs then bitches cause no one wants him on their team. Then here your ass comes saying just let him play how he wants to... Lol
-
He was probably invited because he said he was a Titan. That being said most teams are looking for a Titan specifically for the defender bubble. He's going to get kicked from most groups for not having it because they want one. They have every right to ask for what they want in their group. You're in for a long raid without one. If you haven't done the raid you have no clue how valuable it is.
-
Bubble is a great pve ability. I know this but I hate when something like this gets used to boot people. Subclass shouldn't play a factor in picking people up imo
-
Of course it should. Wrong subclass means you are deadweight, instead of an asset.
-
No one is stopping anyone from playing what they want. You're free to use whatever subclass, whatever weapons, whatever armor your heart desires. Likewise, nobody is required to play with you if they do not like your choices.
-
Let people play what they want in the game.
Exactly, if the person setting up the raid wants to play with Defender bubbles, then it's his choice. He doesn't have to play with HOS or Strikers if he doesn't want to. See, it works both ways.
-
I knew someone would try to point this out. And this is fair. The people making the game should get to set the requirements for their team. My point is that it is silly to make what subclass someone plays a requirement. Let them play what they want to play. Basically what I'm saying is the subclass should be a none issue in building a team. You can still beat the Raid just fine without this requirement.
-
Let us know how that works out when you actually do the raid.
-
Will do. Is the raid really that much harder without a defender because it didn't feel that way in the other raids
-
When i was still playing kingsfall 40x + warpriest is easier as splash-damage is a problem. Weapons of light and blessings at the same time are key for dps and tanking acolyte chip damage. same applies to golgoroth and oryx. you can pull out your striker for the daughters as there is a relic shield. Im sure however if you have not TOM then guardians will wag a finger at you.
-
A defender Titan helps much more in this raid than any other raid by far. Most teams are looking for 2 Titans and a hunter to make it much more manageable.
-
Edited by itzeMeR: 2/3/2016 10:40:37 PM1st time I beat Kings Fall hard mode I didn't even have a Titan on our team. All hunters and one warlock. If you depend on a bubble to not die. Then that just means you suck ass. Sure it's helpful. But it's NOT a requirement
-
this one thinks its elite.
-
Well you get in there, on hard mode, and do the 16 orb oryx challenge with no bubble, then after your 10th wipe and everybody has left come on back here and tell us again how easy it is!!
