got Kicked for not having defender
I joined a group a few days ago for kingsfall. Right when we were launching, they said. If you are a titan and you dont have defender tell me. I said it because I never unlocked it. Right when we got to land I got kicked for not having defender...
Edit : I was not the only titan, There were two other people with defender so why did they need mine?
edit 2 : You can finish kingsfall withought a bubble, it just makes it easier for you with weapons of light.
edit 3 : you can not always depend on defender, You can do any raid withought a titan bubble. Like I said THERE WAS 2 TITANS, why can't they just pick them?
edit 4, I will upgrade my defender.

edit 7, To all the people who Just tell me Im a noob or just level it up. I know where you are coming from and I understand. Yes I will level it up and I understand why you actually would call me a noob.
edit 8. Why are you all so Salty On me 😂 makes me laugh, Already said..I will level up defender. Probably some of you are the people who kick a person for not having a certain thing.
edit 9. Finally leveled up defender :)

I'm sorry but how can you possibly not have Defender leveled up by now? Sure you don't need it, but most teams just want to get in and go through the raid as smoothly as possible. For that, the more Defenders the better. If someone is putting together a team, it's their decision on who they want in their. Nothing you can do about it. Make your own team of strikers and sunbreakers if it bothers you so much.

You should be kicked. You're useless in the raid to that team. No excuses to not have it by now.

A did a raid once with all warlocks but we did no knights method. It just depends on what method everyone knows how to run. Not that many people now all methods .

You just don't make very many orbs as a sunbreaker as opposed to a nightstalker. At least when you're a defender you are giving a lot of support to other players and can still make orbs

I have completed the raid with 6 hunters...in fact it was the fastest Raid I ever done...the back to back to back to back to back Tethers on the first two bosses are amazing. at the same time...I have played on a fireteam with Three defenders.....Two for mid (one blessing, one weapons) and the other titan runs blessing for popping bubble in Shade... to me it's overkill...but I know people who are dead set on that.

Is defender vital? No. It is probably the most helpful class in the game for pve content and makes encounters drastically easier. Striker and sunbreaker are obsolete in end game pve content now. In the same way that Nightstalkers are not essential in the raid. But they do help an awful lot. You will very occasionally see a gunslinger in the raid, but never a blade dancer. When you see lfg posts saying 'need two Titans' they aren't looking for strikers.

3 RepliesIs defender necessary? No. Is it helpful? Absolutely Is whatever subclass you were running going to benefit the team? No. Is you leaving/kicked going to hurt the team? No. They can LFG a 6th They could replace you with a Hunter with void bow, or a bubble defender. The question isn't "is defender necessary", it's "Am I an important asset to the team"

We've done it with no Titans, it was a bit of a slog but no real trouble. Last night I joined a team with only one Titan, he hadn't unlocked blessing yet. I switched to my Titan, problem solved.

It's literally the most important titan subclass for raid activities. You can help out your team [i]massively[/i]. You won't see me using bladedancer in kings fall, because it doesn't help my team.

Level defender up when you can dude. I don't agree with kicking for not having a subclass unlocked, but defender will be massively useful in future raids :) If they kick you for that reason - screw them. They're not worth playing with.

If there were two, they were fine. It is pretty well known though that defenders are what others are looking for when raiding. Glad you have decided to level it up. Smart.

3 RepliesIf you've been here as long as you claim, you would know that the Defender is one of the best sub classes in pve. Did they kick you for any good reason? That's subjective. I personally wouldn't have if we already had a good team going. But don't sit here and rant about something you should have already known about and was unprepared for.

You just need to find a good group to run with. If you are on PS4, you are more than welcome to join me and some friends in the raid and you don't have to have a maxed out Defender sub-class.

1 ReplyYeah, I don't like how so many depend on the same strategies over and over to beat the raid. Kinda takes all the fun out of getting all the cool loot when everybody always expects you to run Defender, "Tether" Hunter, "Fireborn" Warlock.

Sounds like you joined up with a bunch of jerks. I've ran the raid plenty of time with no Titans. In fact last night I ran a whole team of warlocks (which is supposedly the worst class to use for the raid lol) Yes Having a defender or two would make the raid MUCH easier but it isn't a requirement. I have all three of my classes on each character fully unlocked so this isn't my issue with the raid, my issue is I'm hearing impaired so I don't use a mic and I get booted a lot even though I know how to run the whole raid normal and hard.

I form my own raid groups with me as sunbreaker, my cousin as defender and my buddy as a nightstalker, basically i go on lfg just looking for bodies because the three of us split up and take care of every major role and just want the highest light for dps and lack of deaths
