i usually wait and protect it. usually i get killed in the process and my team gets it before i can spawn.
or if im alone and enemies are closing in, ill just get it so the other team cant get it.

Same. I wait as long as possible but if more then one red blip is on the radar I'm taking it. Sometimes I know I'm gonna die but rather then try protecting it I'll take it so other team doesn't get it. My first choice is always to try an wait for a teammate though.
