I enjoy how people make these kind of posts about Warlocks since Sunbreaker got nerfed. It's as though people go to Crucible and get obliterated by another subclass, then come here to bitch.
If Warlocks are so easy to use, lets go ahead and give OG Bladedancer back to the community, or how about OG Sunbreaker? You wouldn't be hearing shit about Warlocks if those two were back in their prime, because Warlocks wouldn't be able to compete.
I'm not going to say that you don't have a right to communicate your opinion, sure that's fine and dandy. But do some research before you get your panties in a twist. The supers alone that I mentioned were MUCH worse than any Warlock subclass now, mainly because they were broken as shit and were the true easy mode.
Warlocks have been the exact same since day one, nothing has changed except the things around them. Call nerfs on something that deserves it, or better yet, call for buffs instead.
Now that my little rant is over, I'm gonna leave these here.
-Titans have fusion and magnetic grenades.
-Hunters have arcbolt and flux grenades.
-Hunters also have Blink.
-Res-sniping exists.
-Throwing knives can be just as effective as both a firebolt grenade and a VERY ranged melee if used right.
-You can have two knives without sacrificing the burning effect of either, or having to equip an exotic to bypass that.
-Shoulder Charge (if combined with the ever so popular Peregrine Greaves) can one-shot a roaming Super. It can also normally one shot every guardian. And you can get health back via Transfusion, if I'm not mistaken.
-You can kill a Stormtrance user with shotgun-melee, sniper headshot, or a super. (Fist of Havoc and Golden Gun are the most notable.)
Just gonna leave my previous argument here, not gonna type it again. Do what you will with that information.

I'd have to agree, nightstalkers shadow shot excellent range and keen scout ability, every subclass has their benefits.

Edited by Dofyx18: 2/3/2016 7:01:40 AMI see people say you can shotgun melee them, how?! Ive been using shotguns through thick and thin, because i have an aggressive play style and sometimes i need a backup for when things go bad, ive shutdown just about every super in the game, FoH (but only cause slightly weak) nova bomb (but very, very rarely, since you know, range) but when that mother -blam!-er comes to me i cant kill him, and always leave him at half red health. Every. time. Ive done a lot to try and prevent this, wait around corners, jump above them, wait around a corner and jump above them also, try to fire my primary and then shotgun punch, throw a grenade and thrn engage but it just never works, so my question is how? Because im not a bad pvp player, but i see no effective way of killing a stormcaller with having an invective or a 4th horseman, and ive even tried those and still have lost even though i hit all the shells Sorry about the wall of text but i need to know
-
Edited by Captain_Yankz: 2/3/2016 11:52:10 AMAim for the head. The 4th Horseman is probably the most effective if you have a Defender with AoL. I used to 1v1 OG Sunbreakers in Mayhem Rumble with that little strategy.

Edited by A Wild Hunter: 2/3/2016 7:48:21 AMTry harder, I use invective gets everyone 80% of the time. Deal with it. Que the rage quits.

I swear all guns will become marshmallow guns soon
-
They're already nerf(ed) guns at this point, may as well go all the way.
-
-
Respect your opinion bro but i completely disagree. I think stormcaller needs a nerf. And I've played my warlock a ton.
-
I main a warlock, and I disagree. Been shot/supered out of it way too many times for it to be OP.
-
The only reason why Stormcaller "needs" a nerf is because everything else is total dog shit in comparison. If none of the subclasses were nerfed, me and you both know no one would be talking about Warlock nerfs in general.
-
The only reason why Stormcaller "needs" a nerf is because everything else is total dog shit in comparison.
Yeah exactly that's pretty much the signs of something needing a nerf. Thorn needed a nerf because everything was dog shit in comparison. Put everything in a state of dog shit and there will be a balanced game.
-
That's ridiculous. Nerfing the shit out of everything doesn't make it better. That only makes everything else seem balanced, but all of it will be trash in the end.
assuming this is b8
-
Stormcallers could always compete with OG Sunbreakers tbh
-
Edited by Captain_Yankz: 2/2/2016 11:18:13 PMOnly when used right. Overall, OG Sunbreakers were the most powerful class in all of Destiny in it's short time. It was very difficult to use Stormcaller properly, and only by using Ionic Blink and Transcendence did we have the ability to dodge those homing hammers and have the Super duration to take them down. But seriously, do you think anyone would even bother Warlocks if the others subclasses were in their absolute prime?
-
Absolutely not, but that's the point, they're not. Stormcaller is.
-
And that's the issue in itself. How about instead of nerfing Stormcaller, bring the rest of the subclasses up to it's level? Let's face it. Sunbreaker was shit on. Striker is decent. Defender isn't even part of the conversation. Bladedancer is horse shit due to it's horrid hit detection. Gunslinger got hit hard due to the Symbiote's nerf, Nightstalker isn't very effective as an offensive Super (at least compared to the other two.) Voidwalker is like Striker; decent. Sunsinger only has a great neutal game going for it. The last well performing Super is Stormcaller, because everything else is garbage.
-
I'd love to say this, but as far as I've seen, Bungie is unable to balance things in bulk.
-
Edited by Captain_Yankz: 2/2/2016 11:28:46 PMThat's why it's impossible for there to be some sort of resolution when it comes to subclasses in the community. If each subclass' unique traits and overall power matched Stormcaller or at least performed better than what they are now, the Crucible would be a great place. And the most annoying thing about these nerfs is that it affects PvE too. Why should Crucible-based toning have to affect PvE? That's bullshit.
-
Oh, thank god. Thought I'd never see the day this was mentioned. Well. Thanks for being an open-minded and cool-headed discussion.
-
Edited by Captain_Yankz: 2/2/2016 11:33:24 PMNo problem, I dislike the methods Bungie use to "balance" this game. However, I highly doubt Cozmo or DeeJ will actually see this. If some bumps could occur so this gains ground, that'd be nice.

I think it's sitting near the top currently

Lets keep it there m8

Maybe I need more controversy. Kek, m80
