Headsets

Making this thread half out of curiosity, and half out of frustration. Just yesterday I had my headset mic stop working on me. I've had the Xbox stereo headset for just over a year now, and the mic just randomly stopped working. Before owning this headset, I had been using my Tritton AX Pro headset, who's mic also quit on me. Before that, yet another headset's mic had quit on me. Long story short, I have 6 pairs of nice headphones, none of which have working mics at this point. I realize you can buy replacement mics for the Trittons, but it seems they are always out of stock, and from a little research I see it is a fairly common issue for the mic to go out on these. So I'm curious if anyone else runs into this issue fairly often as well, or if I just have crap luck. Also, if you don't have my luck, and have had a nice headset for a long period of time (3+ years), what kind of headset do you have? • The two best headsets I ever owned were the Turtle Beach Ear Force Deltas and my current headset which is the Astro A40 with Mix amp pro. Mix quality sucks on the A40 but the sound quality is phenomenal.
