Socialism despite its promise of equality and utopia always overlooks why it routinely fails in reality. People are selfish. Plain and simple. It will always fail because human beings will look out for their own self interests before the look out for strangers. And when everyone is made equal by the all powerful government they become complacent. They stop trying to improve. They accept mediocrity, and stagnation. Its a philosophy of failure.
