You need context. That is in no way support for a socialist type of economy. I challenge you to look up alternative views on that verse and also look for references in the bible that support a more free market/private ownership type of economy. I do admire your passion for this topic and respect your thoughts. I need to go to bed now.

No context needed. Op said he wasn't put on this earth to serve the poor. I provided a bible verse where Jesus explicitly said to do just that. Granted he said "if you want to be perfect", but that still implies that the more you give to the poor, the better person you are. In all honesty, I meant it as a joke, but one of those "it's funny cuz it's true" kind of jokes. Good night, man. Thanks for the respectful disagreement. I wish more people on the forums were like you.
