"he got himself killed... He finally got himself killed..."
john repeats to himself, he sits in his wooden cabin and dons the mask of his predecessors. He picks up the corpse and walks toward the pit in the center of the town. He throws the corpse in to the Hole and covers it in lighter fluid, finally setting it ablaze.
"See you on the day of the dead, brother..."
he speaks to the Shepards over an intercom the next day
"as you have likely heard... Shepard aka, Lucas, has been killed by one of the few remaining fear mongers. I, being next of kin, and at his request, have been appointed as the new king of the Shepards..."
he lays back on a torn and nearly ruined couch and turns on a TV, trying to take his mind off of what the hell had just gone down.

"Okay... Okay. Will she be alright?! I'm not letting anyone die... Not now."
-
"Fine... Fine..." he starts pacing back and forth
-
Roger and Erubetie rush in.
-
"NOO!" he runs over and calls for a medic

"What's with you. Since the moment you met him you've remained pretty much silent... What's your deal?"
-
"Doesn't really matter anymore. He's... Home, I guess." he tears up and stares at the fire

"Hey guys..."
-
*Fenrir stands a silent vigil in the background, having completed his last promise to Shephard, bringing his body and his items to John.*
-
john doesn't even turn his head, but you can hear the sadness in his voice. "Thank you..."
-
*Fenrir simply sits.*
Did Azazael die as well, or is he truly a separate entity?
-
azazael split from Lucas to his own form during the last fight with nightmare
he watches the flames burn, and slowly puts on the mask. "I'll kill them all...."
-
*Fenrir sits still.* "And whom shall you kill?"
-
"Never mind... I'd be making the same mistake he did.. Why are you here? I didn't think you would care too much..." his voice trembles and he shakes and twitches.
-
*Fenrir places a hand on his shoulder.* "In the time that I did know him, I learned that he was an honorable and amazing individual. I have owed him my life on many situations, and I have a debt to pay in return."
-
his voice breaks "You owe us nothing, f-fenrir. Your just as much a brother to me as he was..." he throws some dirt into the fire, putting it out. He walks toward the cabin "Please, come in. I owe you atleast a place to stay for the trek out here, as well as how many times you saved him..."

Edited by Sanctus Caesar: 1/26/2016 12:13:39 AM
Why is everyone dying?)
*Fenrir enters with John.* "So why did you become a Shephard, John?"
-
Edited by Cosmic: 1/26/2016 12:18:54 AM"Well... When Luke formed them, I was right there alongside him... Now I'm all that remains of the original 4 Shepards. Luke is dead, so is Willow, and no one knows what happened to Caroline, so I guess I'm just kinda the heir to the throne... I always longed to be a leader of something, now I know... It's lonely at the top.." he makes two mugs of coffee and tries to hand one to you.
idk, I felt like Shepard should have been killed though, his story arc was really... Long.
-
*Fenrir accepts the coffee.* "If ever you need help," *he hands him a match,* "light this match, and I will be there, if at all possible. It is reusable for any number of times, simply blow it out and relight it. I was actually going to give it to Lucas the next time I saw him... Anyways, I told this to Lucas, and I tell it now to you. My true name is Vrael. Vrael Sturmbramd. And though Lucas preferred Fenrir for whatever reason, the offer to call me by name stands."
-
"Thank you.. Vrael... For all you did for him... All those times you saved him, all those times you fought alongside him..." he sobs. His whole body convulses and twitches at random
-
*Vrael stands up, and passes a fire of serenity to John, using an ability to inspire that he has discovered in this moment of importance.*
-
he stops, a single tear streaming down his face. He looks up, confused, and tilts his head unnaturally far to the side, like a confused dog. "Wh-what is that?"
-
"A gift. I know you need to grieve, but first you need to lead." *Fenrir gestures outside.* "There are men and women out there who are looking to you to lead them. They are scared, they are doubtful, and they are grieving. They get to. Unfortunately, you don't. You need to put aside your grief and put their concerns first. That is the duty and solidarity of a leader, and it has fallen to you."
